Calling all FanFooty members! Fox Sports Fantasy A-League is now open for season 2013-14, and with the season kicking off on the 11th of October, its time to sign up!

Some of these players are way over priced (like $250k for players who have never played in the A-League before, wtf?). I'll be doing this, but the Sportal one is way better, at least with it's prices anyway.

Yeah that sucks , Hyundai did one last year with prizes and the same format as Sportal but I am yet to see one from them this year.

Have any of you guys got any info about Nick Carle Sydney can't seem to find much about him than he is an attacking midfielder , 31 or 32 years old .

He's had experience both at Sydney and overseas. He is a quality player and will no doubt play a large role in Sydney's forward movements especially regarding the fact of his experience both in Australian football and i think China/Middle East.

Thanks Luigi am left with $250000 for a midfielder and are tossing up with him Nichols , Finkler , Mooy and a couple of others.

A risk to take is Emerton who is quite cheap. Otherwise many people, including myself, have gone with Troisi. Consider Miller too.

I went with Miller myself. Here's my first attempt at a squad. I'll probably play a 3-5-2 at this stage.

Hey Chelskiman!

You're team is very spread out, with maybe not enough of those classic captain lock players who almost have the guarantee of points every week. I'd advise finding that sort of player in your forward (Berisha/ADP/Thompson). I can also already tell you that Yau will be out first two rounds because of international duty. Ramsay (and this is coming from a heart supporter) shouldn't be a forward because he will be switching from LB to LW, and that is only when Behich and Williams are injured. Sterjovski is a risky one, and i don't think Arnold will fancy him a consistent starter. Maclaren from Perth is a striker who is almost a lock for me. At 125k, came from playing in England and I imagine will partner Smeltz up forward. Former Sydney captain Terry Mcflynn as an 100k midfielder is also tempting. You can afford to downgrade a midfielder and defender coz atm they will almost definitely be on the bench and you need the money up forward. No WSW players, the 2013 minor premiers?

I did try and spread it out this year as I feel it's not like last year where we were blessed with really cheap options who ended up averaging really well. That and all the WSW players are over priced this season because they did win it last year, so I tried to avoid them as it's always tough to defend a title.

I do see what you mean when you say I don't have a big star, but spending big on just one player makes it hard to fill out the rest. That's why I went with a lot of 200-250k players, as they probably won't ever give you a captain like score, but they should be consistent enough over the course of the season.

My forward line is weak thoug, I know that, but after I did my defenders/mids there wasn't a lot of options to choose from. This is only my first draft though, and I will be making some changes at some point, because that's what fantasy football is all about (changing your team 1000 times before the season kicks off!).
