Rogers is 37, Cowan's gonna be 33, I don't think that would have happened.

I feel that if they're gonna pick somebody playing Shield cricket that they probably will start looking to the future. Joe Burns got a run and wasn't terrible, plus there are a bunch of guys like Jordan Silk, Ryan Carters, Peter Handscomb (both of whom would be a good selection as they could replace Haddin as keeper too) etc
