Heard the news in the car was just completely shocked, I was convinced that he would be fine.

Condolences to his family, friends, team-mates and Colleges.

Yes the game must go on but can't see any bowlers be comfortable bowling bouncers for quite a while , Abbott must be very distraught poor bloke think he will need a long time away from the game

There was some talk of calling off the first test....This has definitely put a sour taste on the whole Summer, I'm not sure Cricket will ever be the same.  :(

This is really horrible, Hughes was such a good player and seemed like a great bloke. Was always a top player and really should've been in the National team at this time.

RIP Hughesy, We always believed in you. You were a top cricketer and an amazing member of the community.

And I can't begin to wonder what Sean Abbott just be thinking, I really hope he can pull through this.

Had a friend over and found out a bit late, but holy flower. Have been feeling sick pretty much for the last 2 hours or so. As bad as it sounded after each update, never really thought that he wouldn't make it. Guess you just never expect these things to actually happen to someone like Hughesy. RIP mate.
