BUDDY HAS SPOKEN:

"The footy club's been a massive part of my life. Alastair Clarkson too, it's been tough on him and his family. I'm excited. Looking forward to getting up to Sydney.

Packing my bags up at Hawthorn and saying goodbye to the boys is something very tough and upsetting.

Q: Is it true you made up your mind a year ago to move to Sydney? A: "Not at all. I made my decision pretty much last minute."

The boys have been really good, I've had some close mates at the footy club for a long time.

I sat down and had a chat to them (teammates) yesterday, (the club) is what's made me the person I am today.

I truly hadn't made up my mind before the grand final. I just wanted to win a grand final and left a two time premiership player.

Hopefully there's more to come (flags with Sydney).

So i guess we thank the Melbourne AFL press for making Buddy want to leave Melbourne and live in Sydney.

Heard that Jack and Reid aren't getting enough attention in NSW so looking to dive into the Perth Fishbowl and get 5 full page spreads in the paper when they wake up every day

freo dont have enough star power to get Swans trading Jack or Reid! :P

j959

is this going to affect Swans long-term??

ie future contracts for Jack, Hannebery, Jetta, Reid etc

Move Reid back, Goodsey to half-back?!?!?  :o    ;)

Think Reid will move back, while Goodes will roam around with Franklin and Tippett will stay in the forward 50

I also think Tippett will get a lot more ruck time now.

SydneyRox

yeah, tippett gets more ruck time, goodes plays FF. Buddy roams round fwd line, plenty of room for Reid to play third tall.

Someone's gotta start taking bets as to who the Swans will nab at the end of 2014.  ;D  :o

Lance Tippett and Kurt Franklin will be choking on each other's supply next season.
