not really liking the free agency at all, dont want it to turn into the NBA with stars leaving clubs every few years.

Yeah flowering bs imo, ok my club will benefit but at the cost of some teams never winning a flag again?  Already uproar over Buddy, what the flower did they expect anyway?

Can we sack Dumbetriou yet? ???

lol for the entirety of free agency there has been 1 star that has left and 1 star that has possibly left. That's hardly like the NBA.

At least 90% of the free agency deals have been regular players. It's working fine

Yeah, to be honest I don't think it has been that bad so far. Look at players that it has given second chances to, people like Angus Monfries, Danyle Pearce, this year already Matt White, Col Sylvia, Luke McGuane.

There will be some big names that move, but it's not like people wouldn't trade without it in place. Remember that there have only really been two big names move in Goddard and Buddy, and who knows they might have moved clubs anyway. Without this, they would certainly be at places right now where they aren't happy and don't want to spend their football careers.

Also, loyalty in the AFL is overrated. Clubs and their supporters can say all they want that players have to be loyal to them, but at the end of the day, a lot of clubs are not loyal to players. Simply look at Geelong who have gotten rid of Hunt, Chapman and Podsiadly, despite all of them wanting to play on. All have been great servicemen for the club, but now they are being pushed out.
