Master Q

Got both the Beams brothers at the moment.

Obviously that'll change if he isn't named Round 1  :-X

He is rated higher than his brother by some people in the industry, at least he was last year  :o.

Mate I'm not saying I rate him higher I reckon Dane is an absolute superstar, I'm saying that some of those in the industry certainly did rate him higher than his brother, they may not anymore.

You can't be serious can you?
It has been stated in the media by those in the know quite a few times in the past actually. Yet to be seen though

How could anyone know he's hardly played a game.

FRESHLY recovered from a full knee reconstruction, Brisbane Lion Claye Beams has quickly turned his attention to making a big impact in 2014.

But the 22-year-old attacked his rehabilitation at full steam and has been given the surgeon's all clear to play football two months ahead of schedule.

He took part in the Lions' first full-contact hit-out last week, and although a bit rusty, was just delighted to be mixing it up on the field again.

He is expected to play a full NAB Challenge match against Gold Coast on February 23.

Sounds good Ric. Looks like he'll be ready to go round 1.

Just a word of caution here guys and, I include myself, Merrett at his interview yesterday was talking up Mayes and Aish with no real mention of Beams and this indicates Beams may not make round 1 so watch NAB cup to see and then first round team.  IMO Mayes, Aish and Beams will be competing for 2 positions.

Word coming out is that Beams is out for anywhere between 6-10 weeks with an injury to his foot.

Mid-year downgrade?
