How normal is this week going to be?

There are some differences there that we acknowledge but what is important is not to be distracted, just focus on what you need to do, which is preparation.

Was there a time frame with getting this team to a Grand Final when you took over?
No, not particularly. Four years, because that's the length of the contract. I'd like to get it done within four.

We talk about possibility, so the possibility is winning a premiership and that's what we're in the business for. Make no mistake that we're trying to play finals consistently.

Noz

I really hope Freo can take this out they are my 2nd best team and i actually even went to a couple of Freo's games this year when they played in Victoria.

Only two Dockers that played in their preliminary final win against the Swans - Danyle Pearce and Zac Dawson - have played in a Grand Final, while Hawthorn had only four players without Grand Final experience against Geelong, with10 premiership players in its line-up.

Lyon said his team's inexperience was not a concern at all.

"A lot's made of that," Lyon said.

"It might be relevant to some. It's certainly not relevant to us. It's not about perception, it's about action.

DOCKERS defenders Michael Johnson and Luke McPharlin failed to appear at training on Tuesday as thousands of fans flocked to Fremantle Oval to cheer on their AFL heroes.

McPharlin (calf/adductor) and Johnson (calf) received plenty of treatment during last week's preliminary final win over Sydney.

The pair have been declared fit to play in Saturday's grand final against Hawthorn, but they were kept off the training track on Tuesday for a light session that lasted only 54 minutes.

This Saturday, somehow the Hawks have to stop the Dockers getting first use of the ball, so that they win the territory battle and have the ball in their forward half more often than not.

Winning that territory battle is going to be extraordinarily difficult though.

Fremantle has the first possession masters of the AFL with David Mundy (153 first possessions), Michael Barlow (141) and Nathan Fyfe (135), as well as Danyle Pearce coming off the square.

Compare that to Sam Mitchell with 112, Jordan Lewis (101) and Brad Sewell (91).

In the preliminary finals, Fyfe won first possession eight times and Mitchell won it 10 times.
