They sacked him with 3 games remaining, knowing there was a chance of winning at least 2 of those, almost won all 3. Would have been hard to sack him after winning the last 3 games and possibly making the finals. They really wanted him gone.

Yeah I think he asked to determine whether he'd keep the DPP but yeah it was too much of the season where he was FWD for him to lose DPP. Unless the new Lions coach is a spastic too, he will lose DPP in 2015. :P
