Obviously we didn`t get to see how Walker will cope without Tippett in the team after he got a season ending injury in round 5.But the emergence of Lynch and with Jenkins(when fit) down forward as well he might be worth a punt especially if he gets a nice discount.

Cheers Luvvy and Thankyou!

Although every dog and his bone will have him :-[  He will start slow! Very slow!

As I said all along, the Great Man is a confidence player! Leave him out at your peril but, also could risk not starting him and nabbing latter! I won't because he's my hero but, tbags tips says get him after round #2

Or miss out, he's better than JJK (Sorry Luv) But it's true

Master Q

Not sure if he does enough around the ground.

Vinny

He is still 23, has talent. I won't start with him but could regret if he goes bang. Possible upgrade target :)

Got him in BXV and I am not letting him go!

Due to the fact he'll be priced at a 61 average I'll be getting him as a cash cow (and slightly because I missed out on JJK (whose season was better than Walker's 2012 season). My honest opinion though, I don't think he'll average 80. I think 2012 was a one off season for him (and one off seasons are extremely common we all have to admit that) and I don't believe he'll find that form again especially now that he has been maimed with a season long ACL injury (seriously LeCras deserves a lot of merit for managing to average 80+ considering what he went through). But then again I might be wrong (I was extremely wrong about JJK luckily I made the right decision with Daisy & Nic Nat), if JJK as a key forward could prove me wrong any key forward can, the most important thing of course is will they score goals? (a must for every single game to at least clear 70+ each round) The other question is what else will he do to boost his score and make him worth keeping. But like I said, priced at a 61 average and a previous average of 87 makes him too good an offer to pass up. I'll personally use him as a stepping stone because he is bound to make cash but who knows he might turn out to be a keeper. I think we all have to hope (dt wise) and especially Crows supporters (AFL wise) that his injury doesn't permanently impact his career because the Crows are short on veritable forward stock since he went and Tippett left and without picks in the first two rounds I think it'll be tough to trade in an established player or draft a key forward which would be very good for Walker dt wise. I think everyone should lock him in, just make sure he is playing first :)

Ricochet

TBag (or anyone) have any idea on his recovery/ how much preseason he will be doing

Yeah would be cautious selecting him. He's obviously very cheap, but players returning from such serious injuries can take a long time to get right even once they've started playing again, made even more difficult by the way he's playing the hardest position in the ground.

I wonder too how the emergence of Lynch and Johnston will effect him, add in Jenkins as well and maybe he won't be getting the same amount of ball sent his way? Not sure, but probably not starting with him.

He has started running and no set backs, also believe he will take the whole 12 months

pommyadam

thinking that Lynch may be a better option (score wise), but considering Tex will be HEAVILY discounted, might see how he goes in preseason

hahaha I've got to completely agree with you on the whole injury aspect of Tex (I don't think he'll average 80) but I don't yet rate Johnston as a player and Lynch as a veritable goal scorer. Lynch had one game where he scored 10 but most other games he doesn't even thread one through the posts. I think Jenkins was purely used in desperation and they should have had him backing up Sauce. Johnston was dumped by the Swans and although there is a slight chance he could prove himself like few before him I think he'll crash and burn. Losing Tippett was the worst possible thing for the Crows and losing Tex & Wright destroyed their entire forward line. I think Tex won't get the dt results like in 2012 (but yes Lynch is a far better dt keeper and option in regards to scoring) but I'm not worried about his goal scoring opposition at all. I have Tex at a 60-75 average though and I think we are all hoping we can just generate some cash off the big man. Wright is back in the side as well isn't he? What will his price be around? :)
