Can't escape the fact that Crameri's been the leading goalkicker for the past three seasons.  :-X

Crammers is a hack, watch Hurls tear it up next year,  ;)

Don't want to be too rude here but Essendon might have the worst forward line going into 2014. Daniher still a ways off and Hurley is in and out of the forward and back 50.

I'm curious as to what's going to happen? Pick 26 might get a good midfielder or small forward but I see a pretty big gaping hole

Bellchambers will spend more time forward and is very capable down there Daniher should put on some more muscle which will help

i predict we are going to draft our ruckmen in the VFL as backup and to maybe play so Belly can play perma forward

it's still a concern but it was even with Gumby and Cremari so not much as changed

not to mention Hardingham and Pears were fringe players this year so they might get more games so Carlisle can play forward

we still have a few options imo

That's an interesting statement given the above fact. Says a fair bit if your leading goalkicker for the past three years is a hack but has managed to kick 34, 32 and 30 goals in 2011, 2012 and 2013 respectively.  :P

Leading goal kicker at the dons hasn't really been an accomplishment since Lloyd departed,  :P

you feeling alright mate?

Winderlich, Hurley, Zaharakis
Chapman, Bellchambers, Daniher

Still looks bloody good to me, definitely better than anything Carlton can produce

You lost your 2 leading goal-kickers.

Joe Daniher is not an AFL player yet by any standard. Chapman might not even hold up for a year with his body.

Hurley still can't fit 20 games into a season.

silloc

Hurley  (16) = 24.16 + 18 assists + 81 marks
Crameri (16) = 30.13 + 13 + 71
Bellend (18) = 28.11 + 7 + 72

Crameri was leading goal kicked, but not really that far infront of bell and hurls

i'd hardly call gumby a leading goal kicker

Mailman the 2nd

No he wasn't "leading" but he was your best option :P

What's going to happen in the 6-8 games that either Hurley or Bellchambers doesn't play?

Crameri going puts a lot more pressure on them and makes marking them that much simpler.

To put it simply, Essendon is going into 2014 with 2 players who can reliably kick 20 goals in a season

silloc

Also ryder has been known to kick 20 odd goals a season. But we get a lot of goals from the midfield also.

Don't forget Goddard and chappy, i also want Hardingham to play forward with all my life (I'm starting to sound like a broken record)

Winderlich, Hurley, Zaharakis
Chapman, Bellchambers, Daniher

Still looks bloody good to me, definitely better than anything Carlton can produce

Winderlich - injury prone
Hurley - injury prone
Zaharakis - injury prone
Chapman - old
Bellchambers - ruckman posing as a forward
Daniher - skinny kid who can't kick straight

Thomas, Henderson, McLean
Garlett, Waite, Yarran

Waite - injury prone but better than Hurley when fit
Henderson - Gun
McLean - kicked more goals than Zaharakis
Garlett - was AA quality in the first half of the year
Yarran - more potential than Winderlich
Thomas - can play half forward and is better than Chapman easy

Cartlon wins comfortably and have Menzel and Walker up their sleeve if need be.

Why Speck, why?! :P

Mailman does not even support Carlton, no need to have a go at the Blues. Hahah.

Haha, sorry vin, first team that comes to mind with a shaky forward line, expecially when Jarrad isn't pulling his Weight...  ;D oh, I went there

So tell me again about how you wouldn't want Daniher, Hurley, and bellchambers in your forward line

Mailman the 2nd

Carlton have a pretty ordinary forward-line too, don't get me wrong but Essendon suffers the exact same problems.

The main difference between the is that Carlton have actual draft picks to select a Tall option this year, I wouldn't think that you guys would use your only decent pick (26) on a Tall.

I get that Daniher will end up a good player, sure. But it looks like 2014 will be Essendon banking on him being able to play all 22 games well. He played 6 fairly average games in 2013, can he really step it up and put pressure off Bellchambers next year?

I have doubts
