4 delisted

The Brisbane Lions today advised Callum Bartlett, Niall McKeever, Stephen Wrigley, and Richard Newell that they were being delisted by the Club.

Expected these delistings I guess. Bartlett is unlucky through injury, and watching him play in the premiership winning reserves side on the weekend, he did have potential. Guess it just wasn't to be fro him though.

Bartlett was delisted last year and picked up in the rookie draft so wonder whether same will apply this year. Wrigley has suffered with injury as well. Newell had an injury interrupted season in 2012 his first season after being selected in draft. Was looking better this year,

Bear in mind under AFL Rules we had to de-list 4 so these were possibly the 4 to be expected. looking at the list.

Good to see Mckeever go :P Really sad to see Bartlett go though :( He was really good yesterday. Wrigley is also questionable, but I guess we have to get rid of someone.

McKeever to return to Ireland. Feel sorry for him but he is one of the Irish experiment that did not really work out. Kicking accuracy was his big downfall. Seen him put a kick out of bounds on the full from 35 metres out directly in front. Worse kick I have seen. Did not adapt to the Sherrin as Hanley has done.

Wish him well though in his return to the round ball in Ireland.

Agree Oss but we still have to meet AFL requirements and all but McKeever are on the Rookie list so no surprises there.
