Melbourne apparently offering Pick 2 for him. I had a feeling Melbourne would chase him...

Stupid thing is Melbourne should have had him anyway but took Trengrove and Scully instead lol.

I would be more than happy to trade him for pick 2

You would back Roos to at straighten him out, but there would be a stern conversation first IMO

What you dont think Damien Hardwick and Chocco Williams are as stern as Roos? You have to want to change to be changed. Dont think this is an issue of that kind anyway its purely a money grab which is pretty low conisdering all that Richmond did for him

Martin is a #3 pick living up to the hype

#2 is fair, if anything, I'd say under for a team wanting to give finals a shake

Yeah it's kinda of overs but if they can't get Boyd, plucking someone like Dusty is still a safe option and will bring them success quicker, compared to someone like James Aish. Chocco was a role model for Dusty and they were often seen together, still confused why he'd go with money over Richmond.

Pick 2 seems overs for me?

no way, its under what he is worth. Melbourne have a history of making bad pick and an established star would be huge for them.

Toga

I don't see how Pick #2 is overs for a gun established former pick #3... Understand if anything IMO.

Would love to see us chase Taylor Adams & Pick #1 but will be interesting to see if the giants will deal.

But is it certain he's leaving? That article said he would consider offers from other clubs, don't think it says he's 100% gone (although its lookin likely).

I'm disappointed in him either way.

nickstiges

It's not certain he's leaving, the afl website hyped it up straight away by saying he quit Richmond when he's just looking at other offers.

In saying that I don't think he'll stay now.

Toga

Yeah that's what I thought of it as well nick - tbh I don't see much loyalty anyways in his decision so f he wants to go let him go, just make sure we get something for him.

Nige

Yeah, if he does go, we need to secure a trade so we get something in return.

I'd do Martin for Pick #2.

Interesting to note that two of the top three from that draft (Scully and now potentially Martin have moved clubs).  :o

Pretty pore journalism once again. They are even reporting on the news that he quit  ::)
He is as good as gone in my mind though. To say you are looking at other offers obviously means your hearts not in it

I would still love to give him an earful but he will cop more than enough of that im sure ;)
As long as we get a good deal done ill be alright with it. If it just goesw around in circles and we end up with next to nothing ill be pissed off. Remember when Ottens left?  :o

I always knew we would lose one of conca or martin. I'm disappointed dusty is leaving but over the past week i've been contemplating things that could occur with his loss. Its not the worst thing imo. If we could somehow poach adams and pick 1 for dusty who is going to be a top 10 afl player for the next decade and our pick 11 is it? Both teams would win!! Its almost 100% confirmed adams is vic bound and why not get a star in return for him if you are gws? A straight swap would not be in the works as i feel the tiges would believe dusty is worth more.

Dusty is worth pick 1. Averages over 20 possies and a goal a game over his 86 games so far being one of only 4 players in the league along with boomer harvey, dayne beams and gary ablett to be achieving this. Gws got adams at 13 so whos to say they wont draft another jet with pick 11.

What are your thoughts tiger fans? I feel the afl will be forced into mediation by the tiges to make this a fair trade for both parties. I can't see us making a tippett mistake. I'll take pick 2 from the dees if gws dont wanna play our game haha i can only dream :)
