Indirectly KB that is correct - but bear in mind we only have 62 players available in the National Draft so need to factor that in in your strategies.
So going back to what I posted
National Draft players all picked
3 Rounds of Rookie Draft
Balance of picks to bring lists to 45 players.

Vinny

Pretty much if you use NAT picks to elevate, you take more rookie picks.

Or you can just take your NAT picks and then select your rookies at the end.

so yeah pick 62 players and or promote rookies (if anyone does now) in national draft.

then do 3 rounds of rookie draft with allocated picks. (complete bxvs rookie draft)

then the nat draft starts again from where it left off when it ran out of players.

this right ? sorry just making sure also

you don't need to promote anyone rookie lists are cancelled

Vinny

Yeah but you are still allowed to if you want to take more rookie picks rather than your late NAT picks.

but the point was - if you do with a late pick before the nat draft runs out of players then you get to use your rook picks in the rook draft ( if you have enough) to pick players to fill your list/s rather than wait until after the rookie draft to do it.

so ultimately you get your picks sooner by using more rook picks ( again if you have them ).  or am i wrong ?

no cause there are only 3 rounds in 3 rookie draft so you cant take extra picks then we do another draft to make lists 45

then you pick 4 rookies from the 45 players

what if you have 8 picks in the first 3 rounds of the rookie draft? i know rook picks werent traded early but from memory some were late....

you couldn't because there are only 4 spots on the rookie list that hypothetical is impossible

i'm getting a headache lol

I was Intially going to take 3 more NAT picks and 3 rookie picks to fill my rookie list.

If I use my last NAT pick to upgrade Bews, I can take another rookie pick.

But as I am typing this I have realised your point, I can't take 4 rookie picks cause there is only 3 rounds ;D

and after the rookie draft, if our list isn't at 45 we just come back to NAT draft right?

Colliwobblers

so the only way to have more than 3 rook picks ( if you have  them through trade) is to have promoted one or more rooks in the nat draft and therefore if you delisted enough have all 4 spots on your rook list vacant - then you can take 4 :)

good pick by the way TABS :)

yeah but not really back to the NAT Draft just a new draft with whatever players are left

I am totally confused as to how the list management for this works so if someone wants to send me a PM walking me through it, that would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot haha
