situation i have though

i was going to use 2 of my 4 extra picks to upgrade Sutcliffe and Michie and i have 3 first round rookie picks i want to use so have to make room

what do i do?

specky92

Pretty sure rookie picks can go onto the senior list? But could be entirely wrong

Ringo

Kb - you can still upgrade by nominating the national picks you wish to use to elevate Sutcliffe and Michie. Then you can use you 3 picks to draft rookies and your 3rd round pick if required.

but i was going to use the extra picks to bring list to 41 to do that i feel a bit disadvantaged if i have to use my picks #56 or earlier because i traded for earlier picks

so can i still use the extra picks to promote them or?

Up to you to work out how best to get your team to 41 players and 4 rookies with the change in rules for this year only.  You have the option of taking Your Draft picks as they come or use to upgrade rookies and take the early picks in the rookie draft. Either way you have the option of naming 4 rookie with final list lodgements.

ok so to put it simply to make sure i got it right

i can pick with my 4 remaining NAT picks

use my 4 rookie picks (even though 2 currently listed as rookies)

use what ever picks to bring senior list to 41 players

then nominate which 4 players i want to be rookies from the 45 players on the list even if i have not promoted Sutcliffe and Michie?

sorry just like to make sure i understand things

Nige

Yeah, I wanna know too because I was gonna use 73 to elevate Matt Arnot and 91 to elevate Hayden Crozier, but if I don't have to... I rather not.

Ringo

Yes KB but your list must not exceed 45 players. Think you are ok with the number of picks in both drafts but have not done a full check as yet.

Vinny

If I understand correctly, it's just a matter of whether you want to use your rookie picks or NAT picks.

yeah should be fine have 35 players currently in total 4 remaining NAT Picks and 4 rookie picks then will need to pick two players in the left over draft

Nige

Basically, if I use Nat picks to elevate, I get 3 rookie picks and still have another 4 Nat picks to take.

If I don't, I get 1 rookie pick and have another 6 Nat picks to take.

I think I prefer the first option.

my understanding is any rookie listed players you have automatically get senior listed then you take all your remaining picks then decide which 4 players to rookie list once have 45 players

you have confused me again :'(

Ringo

As I said it is up to you all how you manage your lists now with the rule change allowing you to nominate your 4 rookies when finalising lists.

Nige

Okay, cheers lads. I get it.  :)

right so any current rookie lists are put onto senior list without needing to promote them i think
