yeah we might have a problem with list sizes all 18 AFL clubs have a combined just over 60 picks they can use in the NAT Draft

Vinny

Pretty sure heaps of teams are passing most of their picks and stuff so I am hoping we are fine. :)

you mean BXV Teams passing picks?

Colliwobblers

there are rookie elevations to take into consideration also which use some nat picks.

Yeah cause some teams delisted less than others.

But there has been like 75 odd delisting, not sure how many of those have been filled by trading of picks and stuff.

will be tight!

lol yeah i have 6 NAT Picks #56 or earlier so should be fine with them but then have another 4 picks after the 6 rounds to make list 41 but using 2 of those for promotions

then have to draft 4 rookies also but have rookie 7, 14, 16 and 52

i might be ok few guys on the no team list now can be re drafted if needed also, Glass etc

Will wait and see how many National Draft players are taken. If the rumoured number of no more than 50 is correct then we may have to look at some change of rules.

Going to foresee this possible change for this year only in that if all team lists can not be filled from the National Draft then we take from the preseason draft following allocation of all drafted players. Still toying with the idea to allow nomination of Rookies for this year only as well but as I say will wait and see till after tomorrows draft

kilbluff1985

"allow nomination of Rookies" ?

i literally don't understand the idea behind this? not arguing just don't understand

Ringo

Another I am considering is not starting the drafy till after the Rookie Draft as well so we have only one draft and then nominate our rookies.  May send out a vote on this.

nooo not more waiting lol

simplest way imo we draft as many players as we can after the NAT Draft to fill senior lists

then if needed the rookie draft is also used to fill the senior list if a few teams don't have a rookie list for a season doubt it matters or they even care

So are AFL clubs going to have less than 45 listed players next year? Since they are not drafting as many?

I thought all clubs (bar the two newies) had the same amount of players and our BXV's squads also replicated that number....

All clubs (except for the newbies) must have between 38-40 people on its senior list, then 4 rookies. They are also allowed a couple other rookie spots for international or alternative talent players.

No way we need more then one draft i traded away my nat picks but kept my rookie picks so i could hopefullly snag a mature aged rookie with my first round pick. Cant change drafting rules after we have traded draft picks based on a set value

Fari enough then. By that statement I say we should only have 40 senior spots then, not 41. :| Then again, I have no idea how any of this stuff works. :P

Noz

If teams can't fill their entire senior list then they got compensation picks at the end of the rookie draft. Those players go straight onto the senior list but only after you fill up your rookie list.
