Yep, like I said before, if you want to use rookie picks elevate, if you don't mind your NAT picks just use them in this case.

Someone like Matt Thomas or Nathan Batsanis could get rookie listed, I rather pick up somebody (or three now) of their quality than some guy from the pool of player made up of guys that a BXV club has delisted with leftover picks after the rookie draft.

people still don't understand they don't need to elevate rookies?

because of the new rule all rookie listed players have been affectively auto promoted you will nominate your new 4 rookies once your list has 45 players
The way I see it is this:

I needed 5 more Nat picks but there are obviously not enough players left in the pool.

Elevating Arnot and Crozier meant I only need 3 Nat picks.

Doing this leaves me with 3 rookie picks.

The remaining Nat picks I have to take to fill my senior list will be from the same pool of players as the rookie draft.

So basically, I get the better players that I want more in the rookie draft and then fill the vacant spots on my list with my subsidiary picks and then I can just nominate the rookies .

;)

but you don't need to elevate them to use your rookie picks as due to the new rules they are not rookies anymore

you just have to decide how you want to draft your 45 players either in this draft, the rookie draft or the left over draft or a combination of them all

and then you select which 4 players you want to be rookies

Exactly... I know haha.

I rather split them. 3 rookie and 3 from the leftovers after all drafts. Hence my ultimate decision to elevate.

Vinny

Wait so for example if I want to use rookie picks can I instead of taking a NAT pick, pass on that.

Then use one of those subisdary picks that will get my list to 41 from the extra pool.

So if you want use a pick from rookie draft but you have NAT picks, you just pass em?

kilbluff1985

Correct Vinny it's just how many players you have on your list doesn't matter which list they were on

And yeah you have to decide how to draft your remaining players

Then you nominate 4 new rookies can be anyone from your 45 players

Nice!

So taking into account or the elevations people have decided to do, passing and stuff.

How many picks left and how many players left?

Would love it if someone could tell me. :)

kilbluff1985

Hence why I was questioning why people are still elevating rookies lol you may aswell just pass the pick

Bombers pick Orazio Fantasia

Being biased? Yes maybe lol

10 players left.

You'd need 6 more picks to be passed to be able to use #69.

I have been keeping the team lists up to date so you can check there.  Once all players in national Draft have been taken we will have 3 rounds of rookie draft, regardless of whether you have 3 rookie picks or not, and then follow with supplementary  picks which I will work out.
In my Breakers case we will only have one Rookie pick as we only have one vacancy left on our list to bring to 45.
Rookies to be nominated at conclusion of drafting.

Wouldn't it be fairest to have the supplementary picks taken in the same order as both the Nat and Rookie Drafts?  ???
