Colli you are correct and that is the way I read the rules atm although the rules for trading a rookie for a player are not specific.  Will need to amend prior to next year and sort this issue out.

Just realised Ringo, Owls are meant to have Pick 7 and Lobsters Pick 9 as the trade says. You accidentally put it the other way around.

as for the bombers and the lobsters do they even have enough picks .....

One of the reasons I decided to post to just give Teams an idea of where they currently stand. Yes some teams will skip and others have a significant number of trades. Still a couple of weeks trading left to change as well.

FYI Ringo, Magic now have Pick 13 we traded it for Hall

FYI Colli, Bombers have 31 players on senior list and we have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds and 1 in the 4th round brings list to 38 players then we get "Subsidiary picks to bring lists to 41" after the 6 rounds 2 of which i'll be using to upgrade Michie and Sutcliffe to the senior list so i can use pick 14 & 16 in the rookie draft

and what are the benefits for pick skipping?

teams with lists they do not want to delist players on will have to SKIP their picks in the national draft.

no benefit to the team that skips, benefit is to the other teams wanting to draft.

i have to take 5 nat draft picks but i have 10 available so i will pick 5 players upgrade a rook and skip my last 4 picks.

several clubs will be in this situation which for teams like you who will draft deep it is good for.

i wish i knew 2 of my rooks were going to be delisted before i traded all my picks for better nat picks, i could use a rook pick better than 54 now since i will need to use all 3 of my rook picks.

Will use pick 72 to upgrade Matt Arnot and 91 to upgrade Hayden Crozier. I believe that leaves me 1, 9, 19, 44 and 49, and then gives me a senior list of 39 meaning I need two more ND picks (in the supplementary round or whatever?). I understand this will also give m e three rookie picks.

Also, I traded Alex Browne to kb/Birmingham for Pick 49.
