As good as I think Crouch will be in time, I wouldn't use a top 15 fantasy draft (XVs) pick on him.
I wouldn't use a top 12 pick but after that is definitely be looking his way but I'm not exactly a rookie guy,  :-[
Like, don't get me wrong, he's got the potential, but there are other guys I would take before him.

Mr.Craig

The problem in my view is that he just throws the ball on the boot without worrying where it's headed. That's fine if you are Sam Mitchell or Dane Swan who have a range of other skills and are able to be precise when in space but Crouch doesn't have that yet.

Case in point is his "highlights" video which is filled with floaters, shanks and scrubers -

I don't think any of these issues are terminal but they will take time to correct along with building up his fitness. So while he does have a game suited to DT, it's of no use unless he can prove himself worthy of the 22. The sooner he can get into pre season training with an AFL team the better.

Do a West Coast. Trade your earlier pick for a later one so that you're not seen as taking a player too early.  ;)  :P

Rumours flying around today that the Dogs might take Bontempelli at 4. Because of this, there are now talks that Collingwood will take Schaz at 6... AND JAMES AISH AT 10! :o

Obviously, there's a bit of a domino effect... this could mean Richmond don't get Ben Lennon and opt for Christian Salem who is touted as the better player.  :(

IMO GC would take Aish if he fell that low...

I thought that too, but who knows... I reckon they want Kolodjashnij though.

Mr.Craig

So in that scenario is Billings going at 3 then?

Champion Data rank their 30 top prospects and Jay Clark+Sam Landsberger present their phantom first round

Really interesting stuff!

Pretty damn accurate in my eyes! I still have my doubts over whether Aish is gonna go at  #4 (trust me, I rate him very highly), I just can see teams being a bit scared off by his love for the outside game... There was rumours Bontempelli might jump up the order, do you think he is a serious chance to go to the Dogs?

Also interesting to see that they have McCarthy possibly going to the Pies... I was just thinking the other day would they at all be interested in Apeness? Would add to their young ruck division & sounds like he's pretty handy up forwards..

Was a fantastic read, and from what I've read previously and know, it seems like it's about right. Gonna be interesting to see if their phantom draft and their rankings end up being close or not.

I honestly think the Dogs will end up going wish Aish (probably because I don't want to believe yesterday's rumour of him going at 10 to the Pies.

As for McCarthy, he has his suitors... I don't think the Lions will take him. I reckon they might take Freeman and the Pies might snap up the aforementioned McCarthy.

Apeness is more of a forward than a ruck. I don't think they'll bother considering they have Grundy/Witts plus they have a few guys who could pinch hit. That and it's probably at tad early for him at 10.

Haha I doubt he would last until 10... I know GC love Kade Kol but I reckon they wouldn't pass Aishy up.

Who does Melbourne opt for then? Salem? :o

Yeah but that's why I think he's perfect for the Pies.. They have Grundy & Witts but that's about it, would be pretty solid to grab another guy that can ruck as backup... But the fact he's more of a forward to me makes it even better, he would fight it out with Jesse White for that second tall forward/pinch hitting role, and if he's got the talent...

Well idk :P I think he'd be a good fit!
