Boxing is dead. It died the moment Floyd ran from Pacquiao

yep. Mayweather is a dog. Pacman would punch the flower out of him.. Floyd knows this, so the fight will never/was never gonna happen.
I dont think he would, Id back Mayweather tbh. He is the greatest, he doesnt have anything to prove anymore but still keeps taking fights...
i don't blame him
pretty hard to knock back 41.5 million

I dont believe he ran from Pacman so much as he wanted to make sure the world knew he thought Manny was a cheat, tbh Pacman would not have beaten him anyway, the person that does beat him will be someone that fights more intelligently than him, u cant blow him out the water or run right thru him, forget the record and look at the dudes face, he dont look like a fighter, angles, footwork and getting off first and getting out before he gets hit, the best at it since Muhammad Ali if not better

Yeah I agree, Pacman wouldn't have beaten him. But then again, no one ever will. He stands so side-on that he provides such a small target and his quickness is just incredible. Sometimes however its just his exquisite timing that makes him look super quick. If someone does beat him, like you say, someone has gotta have worked out a way to beat him before the match rather than what Alvarez did and just try and overpower him, no flowering way is that gonna work. Countless times did he leave Alvarez just swinging at mid-air, just just incredible.

He did duck from Pacman though... He refuses to believe it, but he did. That match is long gone now, no chance we see that again. Apparently team Pacman is keen but Money reckons he's had his chance but blew it wtf. But unless he does fight Pacman and beat him, there will always be doubters. What an event that would be :o

There is always an element of what if with boxing, but still Pacman got KO'd by whats his name :P and has like 5 losses 2 draws, as randomly showerty as boxing scorecards can be Floyd is undefeated...
There is an element of conjecture/comparison with all the greats, like would Marciano have knocked out Ali or would Ali have danced circles around him?
Even with super fights there r some great variables...
Ali Vs Frazier were epic battles, Ali beats Foreman yet Frazier couldnt hold Foremans drink bottle even tho he had beaten Ali and pushed him to the limit twice, it can be a mixed bag of lollies when strategies clash.

Jay

Ever though there are different strategies etc. I would back Floyd to have beaten Pacqiou in his prime any day. But I do think that unlike any other time before, there may have been a little bit of doubt in Floyd's mind about whether he could beat Pacman. Not gonna say he was scared of Pacman but I just reckon there was a little bit of uncertainty which Floyd never has. I still think Floyd should swallow his pride and take on Pacman. The validation of his career needs it and the boxing world needs it. Unless he beats him, I don't think he will be considered the g.o.a.t although its hard to compare him to Ali of course.

Yeah good point about the super fights from back in the day. Have watched a heap of documentaries about Ali, Frazier, Foreman etc. Really intriguing stuff, but however you spin it, Ali is the greatest. Remember the "thriller in manilla" where Ali was just about to throw in the towel but was beaten to it by Frazier's team. Both guys were absolutely screwed.

RiOtChEsS

No matter what Floyd did in a fight with Pacman now, the critics would claim Pacman was passed it now and wasnt then, would have beaten Floyd if the fight happened when it was supposed to, tbh idk and i dont think it matters that much, fighters duck other fighters all the time, if uve earnt ur way to the top of the pile u get to pick n choose imo.

Long story short the fight has no real substance anymore, would still be good to see tho...

Not related to Money Mayweather, but there is a huge fight today!

Bradley vs. Marquez. Marquez is the slim favourite and I think he'll destroy Bradley. Both of these guys beat the Pacman, so they can both really fight! In saying that, Marquez knocked the flower out of Pacman while Bradley had to cheat his way past him.

Should be good 8)

Jay

Bradley vs. Pacman 2.0 today!

Jay

Pacman wins 8)

Bring on a fight with Floyd!!!!!

Still viable, it would go the distance and Floyd has more polish in the "sweet science" so he would eek out the decision imo

It definitely has to happen! Tbh I think Pacman would win. I know he's old but he's still fast and he's still got more punching power than Floyd could ever dream of having.

What an event that would be if Pacman knocked the flower out of Money :o

nobody has even beaten Mayweather let alone knock him out, his understanding of spacing and angles is what makes him great, he is human tho so it "could" happen, i dont see it going that way in a Manny fight, Floyd tends to fight better when there is emotion attached to the hype, more drama equals better performance with him.

If the fight does happen the lead up will be so draining on Manny bcos Floyd will ask him to go thru all that pre fight testing again or he will bring it up n run his mouth etc etc etc, psychology, angles, spacing... he is a multi dimensional machine, makes u angry at him but then in the ring u cant catch up with him, complete understanding of the "game"

Jay

I know I know, Floyd is the ultimate technician. But he can't punch! Manny would probably be his toughest ever competitor :o

In all honesty, Floyd would probably pick him apart, but if this fight had happened in Pacman's prime, he'd take it imo.

Floyd needs this fight and so does Manny. It has to happen!

yeeeep. he would destroy him. that's why Floyd will only accept the fight when Manny is passed his prime. he'll probably wait for what he thinks would be Manny's last fight, so IF Floyd beats him, he can say "OH YEAH MADE MANNY PACQUIAO RETIRE!!!! NUNNA YOU dog ASS NIGGAS GOT shower ON ME"

he's a person

Jay

Hahaha Brad! Probably true... If only Floyd hadn't ducked him when the opportunity to fight was there :o
