They have also delisted ruckman Brent Renouf but has committed to drafting him as a rookie in the upcoming drafts.

I couldn't believe how upset some Hawks fans got when we trade Renouf to Port. Given what he has done since and the fact we got Pick 33 for him (Brad Hill) I think it's pretty clear who got the best of that deal.
I thought we all celebrated his departure

The supporters with an ounce of common sense did, yeah.

Back to Port, Hitchcock...what Port see in him is beyond me. You could make an argument that he's "depth" or has had a bad run with injuries but seriously, the sooner they work out he isn't AFL standard and give someone else a shot the better.

Only got another contract because of his opening 2 months in the SANFL if we were to draft another small forward its hard to see him playing in 2015.

They say, we say: Club-by-club verdicts on the 2013-14 Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-11-27/they-say-we-say-rookie-draft-verdicts

They say
'Heading into the national draft Ken (Hinkley) was wanting more small options down back and we've managed to pick up a couple of blokes to fill that need now. Sam (Russell) is another small defender who we can add to the group we brought in through the national draft. We like his competitiveness, determination and ability to run the ball out of defence. He will help us sure up that defensive area. Sam Gray trained with us last pre-season and went away with some things to work on and we were pleased to see he did that all year. Its a really good result that we've kept one of our Magpies players in the tent. But its also a reward for his performance because Sam has been very impressive in the SANFL all year.' - recruiting manager Geoff Parker

We say
Port targeted speed in this years draft period, identifying the need for pacey smalls that can play at either end of the ground. Jarman Impey, Darcy Byrne-Jones and Karl Amon certainly provide that. All three are versatile players who can play in either defence or through the midfield. The Power also picked up South Australian key forward Mitch Harvey. The Power selected another small running defender in the rookie draft in Sam Russell. They also re-listed ruckman Brent Renouf as well as rewarding Port Adelaides Magarey Medal runner-up Sam Gray. International rookie Daniel Flynn from Ireland looks a promising pick-up. - Alex Malcolm

IIRC you guys have a lot of free agents after this season, doubt many will want to leave after the way you guys played in 2013.

Dudge

Hearing a lot or rumours, they're trying to get Boaky signed till the end of 2017. Praying they do

Holy crap Craig that looks more bad then the Governors in the walking dead  :o

In other news to continue our 5 re-signing in 5 days

Jake "Im more quicker and more skilful then Cyril Rioli" Neade signs on for another 2 years

Ziplock

Neade isn't insanely fast guys... (I'm assuming since you're comparing him to rioli, you're going for burst sprinting speed)

http://www.afl.com.au/news/event-news/combine/nab-afl-draft-combine-2012-results

Neade came 5th in the 3km time trial and 5th in the goal kicking test, and didn't place for anything else, which means that he wasn't in the top 11 players for the 20m sprint. Considering around (100?) players are invited to the time trial each each, that means that Neade was outside the top 10% for 20m sprint, which extrapolated would mean that each club probably has 3-4 players which could out run him over a short distance (He ran 2.96).

In contrast, Rioli when he was drafted also ran 2.96 in the 20m sprint... rioli also came 3rd in the 30m repeated sprints.
So, unless Rioli has gotten slower since he was drafted, or Neade has gotten faster, they're probably about the same speed.

I don't care Neade and Schulz have re-signed until the end of 2015
