Port Adelaide Contracts/Trading/Drafting Discussion Thread!

Matt Thomas was good at SANFL level; lots of stoppages, rough and tough but AFL lacked the burst and speed.

Shaw is still a long term prospect will take a season or two before we see him I think. Butch needs an injury free year of football before he gets there. Polec would be great but I don't think they should offer pick 11. He's got speed. He'll add another dimension to the midfield and would be an obvious replacement for Kornes when he retires.

They will try yes, Dmac and Bernie will be offered either for Polec or higher draft picks I believe! Anything could happen at Adelaide! Almost anything!

Bar guys like Tex, Sloane, Talia ect, the rest could be traded! Expect the unexpected!

Also, give us the Boss for Tambling!

Edit: That is why we need him more than Port JB! Both clubs would know this also

haha yeah I just checked his 2012 highlight video and the kid is amazing. He was playing on the wing/half forward flank. He is also #5 draft pick, if he stays fit I'd definitely give up the #11 pick for him. I don't think the Lions want David MacKay but I'm the tiniest bit worried that they might want Vince, but I think the fact he is 27 might change their minds. Imagine Wingard, Boak, Ebert, Polec & Hartlett all in the same midfield ;) 

Also Port supporters who do you think will pick up the tagging role once Cassisi & Cornes are inevitably gone (hopefully at around age 45 :P )

Just found out Jared Polec was a Port Adelaide fan. I think he'll be signing with Port Adelaide. Apparently he already quit from the Lions.

Just to confirm that Polec has formally asked to be traded to a South Australian team so no doubt we will be accepting the best offer that either club can come up with. Do not see us wanting either MacKay or Vince given the mid depth we have. (Maybe Vince if Black retires though) Bear in mind we still have Beams to come back in as well.

Personally do not think Polec is worth a Round 1 pick but remains to be seen what can be negotiated.

Hard to see where our next tagger will come from maybe Broadbent as we have a few running defenders already and he has spent most of his career as a mid. Kane Mitchell has stopped players in the past

Polec's definitely going to the crows. Spent the weekend clubbing with Brodie Smith and a few Adelaide boys and has a lot of friends at the crows. Fits in better to their structure as well
