KEN HINKLEY is looking forward to sitting down with Brisbane Lions midfielder Jared Polec and convincing him Port Adelaide should be his destination for 2014.

And the Power's coach wouldn't rule out trading a first-round pick to help bring Polec to Alberton Oval.

Port must be very keen to get him if Kenny Hinkley's gonna try and convince him as well as Boak apparently giving him a call to persuade him as well. Might be interesting to see if Adelaide decide to make a play for him or just let him go to Port.

Adelaide are hamstrung a bit with no first or second round pick to include in a trade. Not sure what players they could offer up.

Think I read somewhere (AFL website I think it was) that they would (or might have to) sell David Mackay or Bernie Vince.

Quote from: Harry ThringAdelaide has also expressed its interest in Brisbane Lions midfielder Jared Polec. The 20-year-old South Australian has told the Lions he wants to return home and with good friend and former Woodville/West Torrens teammate Brodie Smith already at the Crows, Polec would fit in nicely. But given they're banned from the first two rounds of the NAB AFL Draft, the Crows might have to look at giving up a David Mackay or Bernie Vince as well as a draft pick to secure him.

BREAKING Port Adelaide is considering offering up their first draft pick - pick 11 - in order to lure Jared Polec to Alberton.

Lobbe will surely be our first choice ruck, Redden started the year as our number 1 ruck but when he got injured that all changed, Renouf had a up and down year in the SANFL when he wasn't injured but as it stands

Lobbe > Redden > Lobbe

Lobbe > Redden > Lobbe
Can you see Lobbe and Redden playing in the same team together? I'm not sure either of them would be much value resting forward although I think Redden kciked 4-5 goals in an SANFL match this year.

With the new interchange cap i don't see how we can afford to play them in the same team. Westhoff will become the back up ruck man and hopefully we can recruit a good tall or maybe Shaw/Butcher can show something.

Wes Mantooth

Matt Thomas was good at SANFL level; lots of stoppages, rough and tough but AFL lacked the burst and speed.

Shaw is still a long term prospect will take a season or two before we see him I think. Butch needs an injury free year of football before he gets there. Polec would be great but I don't think they should offer pick 11. He's got speed. He'll add another dimension to the midfield and would be an obvious replacement for Kornes when he retires.
