Matt White is coming to the Power?

I don't really agree with this, I don't see a way Thomas will force his way into our midfield and i would of rather have kept Thomas and continue his development as a run with midfielder. Or at least give Mitchell more game time who basically plays the same role as White.

Quick midfielder who has immaculate fitness/speed

We need more quick mids to help wingard and co. out. White will be cheap so should be fine

Hmm your probably right i wonder where this would leave Mitch though.

While Mitchell has been good fantasy wise sorta, he is a quite inconsistent and lacks ball skills at crucial times. White is someone they can bring in fairly cheap and test out in that role as well. Im sure him and Mitchell will go head to head but we really need that extra pace. Wingard, Hartlett, White, Mitchell provide the pace while Ebert and Boak are the smart solid mids, winning the hard ball.

I'm just hoping Port can secure Heath Shaw to be honest. Would be a great leader for the back line and could help in the development of Tom Jonas and speed up the development of that rookie in the back with all the hype surrounding him but has never actually played yet.

I want to see Butcher & Moore improve next year, that is my main hope for my team :) Butcher helps out Schultz and our deep forward line is covered and Moore starts gaining more uncontested possessions and while he's young the team could use him as a rebounding halfback flanker and eventually see him moved up into the midfield. But I badly want Heath Shaw to sign with us

Carlton midfielder Mitch Robinson stays on Power's Plan C file

PORT Adelaide's search for more midfield depth could include Carlton onballer Mitch Robinson as part of a backup plan in AFL trade talks next week.

The Power's priorities in the trade window - opening at Etihad Stadium on Monday remain Richmond free agent Matt White and Brisbane midfielder Jared Polec.

But the "fire sale" at Carlton where the Blues are seeking salary cap relief to fund their major recruiting mission has Robinson on offer as trade bait from Monday.

Hinkley: It's been reported we've got some interest in Matt White and Jared Polec, a power forward...they're on the wish list.

Also said that he expects Tom Logan to stay and that they're not interested in Didak.

Thank Fark for that hahahaahhahaaha ;) Wouldn't mind seeing Mitch Robinson in our side though :) I don't know if his playing style would work but he could relieve tagging duties for Cornes/Cassisi

Port Adelaide has signed speedy Irishman Daniel Flynn. He's explosive and his skills testing this morning was superb. #aflcombine

...and so the de fragmentation of Port Adelaide continues under the wistful masterstroke of messrs Demetriou and co.

Firstly they allowed iPrimus to become coach in order to soften the blow of inevitable change. They knew Primus couldn't coach and they knew the previous board was pedestrian. Andy D further removed the true Port identity (which many of us live to hate) by orchestrating the appointment of Keith Thomas. Andyroo is slowly moulding a cast of who, how and when he ( the AFL) declares a takeover of Port Adelaide.

Cicjose

how would that affect Adelaide football in general tho?

Port are trying to get back to a club with a stable staff and player direction

Port Adelaide FC has today formally lodged an unrestricted Free Agency offer for Matthew White with the AFL.

Do you reckon this means they won't be going as hard for Polec? Adds the outside run and speed to the side, which is also what Polec would do. Or do you think they will still chase him so they have more options?

I reckon they'll still chase Polec, they're in a better position than the Crows and I don't think they wanna see him somehow land at the enemy!

Signing someone just to stop a rival team getting them always a great strategy! Man Utd signed Phil Jones AND Ashley Young because SAF heard that Liverpool were about to sign them so he swooped in and got them instead haha ;D
