Well a reputation is ready to be made if they go for someone inexperienced. All the experienced coaches most probably would like to coach into 2015. So its a bit of a hot potato unless its an Essendon man like sheedy who realistically does not actually coach the team.

How would you be coaching a team to top 4 or beyond and getting the bullet. Its a dilemma but it would have been clear cut if they had have pulled the bandaid right off and started afresh.

Simon Goodwin?
yeeeeeeep, as fidou said, who would want to come in just for the one year?

You'd have to think Goodwin would be favorite given he is part of the current coaching staff so knows the game plan and structures well. He could just keep the team tracking on the same path until Hird comes back.

but actually, sheedy?

like, I'd prefer him to stay at the giants in some capacity, like he intends to... but would he be able to do it?

I don't really want Sheedy to do it personally

Would love him at the club doing something though

Fletcher Player/Coach  ;D

Yep, totally agree. The logical choice is Goodwin now that Bomber has said no.
