"Rate my Team" Supercoach Finals Thread - Week 2

Hey all,

Another week and another set of major tough choices...   I'm wondering how ppl are going this week selecting their teams..!?

Top score from last week was 1560..  which comes down to make your Capt/V.Capt extremely well...!!


First run at the team...

B: Gibbs, Guthrie, Pittard
M: Murphy, Parker, Selwood, SJ
R: Blicavs
F: Bird, Betts, Rohan

Picking seem so minimal it kinda hurts to pick some players.. lol

Similar looking team to my first attempt this week, Not sure if I keep faith on Rohan or not, difficult with salary cap though...

I have:
Gibbs, Pittard, (one of Yarran, Guthrie, Jonas - at this point Yarran)
Jack, Jelwood, Murphy, Robinson
Blitz
Waite, Bird, Rohan

Only player I've kept from last week is Jelwood.

Gibbs, Duigan (surely they can't drop him after the game he just had?!), Malceski
K-Jack, Duncan, Jelwood, Bell
Blitz
Stokes, Young, White.

My theory last week was to spend as little as possible on defence and it worked!!

Pretty much changed my whole team this week - only kept Bird and JPK (gave Waite the flick)

DEF - Duigan, Guthrie, Pittard

MID - Jack, JPK, Murphy, Parker

RUC - Lobbe

FWD - Bartel, Bird, Young

Am considering changing Duigan but at that price I am unsure who for?? This was also my thinking behind getting rid of Waite but I might just change back to him! Lobbe has to be a lock coming up against an undermanned Geelong ruck stock.

Did say it was a strange team for strange times, wow I really stuffed that one up. Thanks guys, will do it again. The team, not the stuff up. Must have been over tired picking players with the bye, plus a brace of birds.    ::)

Lost the brace of game birds but still hopefully stuck with an about to
turn it around Rohan. Hope this is a bit more up date. Thanks guys, cheers to

Lost the brace of game birds but still hopefully stuck with an about to
turn it around Rohan. Hope this is a bit more up date. Thanks guys, cheers to
both for the wake up call.    ;)

Pretty much the same as mine except swap Stevie for Bartel and Mumford for Lobbe (Geelong's ruck stocks aren't great and you save money). Defence is solid and if you change from Mumford to Lobbe you can use the extra money to get a better midfielder or upgrade Rohan to Young from Port (he won't score massive but will give you a solid 60-70, which is probably better than Rohan, who might not play this week).

I like it! My only consideration is what to do with Bird?? Have been hearing all week that he may tag one of Gibbs or Murphy and if so I am not sure how much of the ball he will get? Thoughts? Otherwise a good team!! :)

Yeah not convinced with Bird but he was my final selection and was highest i could under the cap. Will explore more once teams are announced.

The big one is whether Duigan keeps his spot. Will be the most picked this week if he does.
