Why are we starting the draft so early? Gives me no time to prepare for it...

a) because we have done the draft as soon as the AFL one finishes in the past and b) because the date has been in this thread's OP for months, so how can you be unprepared? :P

a) not really a question here, so not really anything for me to say...
b) because I've had 7 exams the last 2 weeks, including one still tomorrow so haven't had time to look at the draft prospects. Plus I like to wait until the actual draft is completed and then I create a spreadsheet with all the players taken in order comparing all their stats. Can't do that until the draft is over, and I won't be doing it tonight since I still have an exam tomorrow...

oh, no, exams flowering suck, I was laughing because I'm in a similar boat with them, and because I also make a spreadsheet comparing stats :P

Yeah, I haven't thought about footy because of exams... And then I finally finish exams and within a day and a half, somebody causes a bloody car accident and I have to spend the next day making sure it all gets sorted and I don't have to pay anything.

Same as this year 35 + 5 rookies.

You don't need to upgrade rookies with picks you pick your 5 rookies at the end of all the drafting. So now you have no rookie list just a playing list.

However, some of my depth players could be of use in various teams for specific reasons, and I'm willing to package multiple together as well.

l thought you had to delist before being allowed to do anymore trades in the next period

no there will be a trade period for about a month. you can have a list of 50 if you want but you will need to delist 10 or more before the rookie draft (which is the last thing you do).

than you have a list of 40 after the rookie and you pick 5 to be on your rookie list and 35 on your seniors list.

Sam Mitchell, Luke Hodge and Jarrad McVeigh have all gained the DPP status of Midfield/Defender.

Brendon Goddard will now be a midfielder only losing his DPP status of MID/DEF.
