Why are we starting the draft so early? Gives me no time to prepare for it...

a) because we have done the draft as soon as the AFL one finishes in the past and b) because the date has been in this thread's OP for months, so how can you be unprepared? :P

a) not really a question here, so not really anything for me to say...
b) because I've had 7 exams the last 2 weeks, including one still tomorrow so haven't had time to look at the draft prospects. Plus I like to wait until the actual draft is completed and then I create a spreadsheet with all the players taken in order comparing all their stats. Can't do that until the draft is over, and I won't be doing it tonight since I still have an exam tomorrow...

100) why do we have a trading cap?

To try and jeep lists looking somewhat simular to the year before.

Some clubs (including Serbia) moved half their list. Really 10 out if 40 is a quarter of your squad so it's fairly lenient.

What is the official call on when the draft will start Holz? I don't mind starting a couple of days later for some guys, but it means our trade period should still be open :P

I'm going to be a lienent in the time you have to make picks. There will be nobody skipped in the first week. I trust people wont intentionally take a long time picking. So if you need your time to research its fair enough and you can have it, just say your need time. If someone is blantatnly taking their time they will be skipped.

The early drafting is because those who want to draft can do it early. Lets us have as much time to draft as we need.

11:59pm aest time tonight, as per my previous post I will be client on picking just gives an opportunity to start early.

Trading will not start till dpp is announced so that's a while away. I want them done before that so that's why we start early.

Ok that's cool. Was just scared you would skip LH or I if we had been on but not picked. Although actually LH is the head coach so I should just tell him not to log in and then we can have plenty of time.

I'll be able to go through a fair chunk of the players tomorrow some time in the afternoon, so shouldn't be too long...

so, we can't start trading before hand, and anyone who trades and gets screwed by dpp just has to suck it the flower up? :P

Holz

I agree with you on most things but I dont agree that restricting movements is good for the comp.

1) The strong teams stay strong
2) The weak teams have less of a chance to rebuild/improve their list
3) To keep interest flowing over the off-season IMO there should be looser trade restrictions.

This, and I am a trade-a-holic :P Rues are rules though I guess.
