stewart's going to be a beast when he puts on weight.

Bit unfair that you basically get him for free then isn't it :P

Nige

Well, the players we're hoping to get with those picks should hopefully be equal to or greater than those we're giving.

kilbluff1985

Well either this trade is completely unfair or I got ripped off in BXV I gave NAT 26 for Dawes I thought it was a fair trade and nobody said otherwise

Nige

I genuinely thought that the general consensus is that Chris Dawes is of potato-like quality...

Fair call ahahaha.  ;D

Well, to also be fair, stewart + jaksch are a lonnnng way down the pecking order for tall forwards at gws.

Jaksch will play a fair bit of footy in 2014. Kid has an incredible pair of hands. Bulldogs and Carlton were keen to get him this year but Giants didnt want to let him go. He was knocking on the door all year with his form in the NEAFL but Giants didnt want to rush him. When I chatted to him throught the season he was loving his time in Sydney. Giants will use Patton and Giles as trade bait next season imo.

Dawes will be a very handy player in 2014. Had a very injury interrupted 2013 but I watched him live take 10+ marks against the hawks. Will be great forward depth. Add in Hogan and a injury free Clark and the Dees fwd line is very handy.

Is there anywhere we can see the players available for the rookie/preseason draft?

Jaksch is good, but honestly I see him way down the line for the giants. Cameron, Patton and the resting ruck will go before him, as well as boyd (if we get him, which we probs will) and tomlinson as well. Down back there's a fair bit of competition as well... if they use some of the big boys as trade bait, maybe in 2015 he'll get significant game time.

I don't think we'll look to trade giles- honestly I think he's going to really shine this season... he's a pretty solid forward, but he hasn't been able to show that strength often due to having to carry our ruck stocks, he might be too valuable to trade. And patton will only have currency if he has a good/ injury free season.

that being said, something has to give with our talls next season.

mmm... atm, no. You basically need to derive a remaining list yourself, the way I did it last season was by copying the lists off the fan planner, then going through the team lists and deleting players that are taken. It's a bit painstaking.

RidleyU

Had a mate who had a few beers with Giles in Adelaide a couple of weeks ago. Reckons he will definitely go back. Crows were very keen this year.

Yeah, sounds painful to do it that way. If I get one sorted over the next day or 2, I can forward it on if that will help for others to use. That way if I miss anyone others can point it out over the next couple of weeks. We prob need one anyways for the draft.

Ziplock

Ah well, it'd be sad to lose him.

It takes a couple of hours from memory... we didn't really need it for the draft last year, everyone sort of did their own one, and with the team lists you don't accidentally select people who are already on a team.

I think holz said in another thread he was looking at getting one out when his net gets fixed or something?

RidleyU

Too easy. I will do one on Tuesday. If anyone wants a copy just flick me a message.

Legend! I don't know when I'll find the time :( so I'd love a copy!

Ziplock

yeah, if you could send me a copy too that'd be sweet. Thanks!

Nige

The Polar Bears would love one. Cheers.
