WCE must be pretty confident their man will last to pick 11... otherwise I don't understand why they would give up pick 6

Yeah, I can't see any other reason they'd do it to be honest. But if Sheed is in fact their man, he should be there at 11.

Can't believe how Collingwood keep on ending up so well out of these periods. They'll probably end up getting Aish as a steal at Pick 6 just like last year with Grundy  :-\

Yeah, it is strange, maybe Collingwood agreed not to touch Sheed with pick 6 or 10 which means that GWS (1 and 2), St Kilda (3) WB (4), GC (5), BL (7), NM (8 ) or Melbourne (9) would have to take him - in other words he should slip to 11
Leaving both clubs in good faith

I don't think Collingwood want Sheed.

I've heard they're interested in Aish, Freeman and Salem amongst others...

Although Derek Hine is adamant a straight swap will be done in the Shaw/Adams trade, word out of Etihad is that Collingwood have also thrown in their pick 67.

Getting rid of all of these picks is all well and good (especially picks 30+ which are just about useless this year) but what does that mean for our list numbers? I mean, we've had a few delisted and retire (6 or 7?) Plus now Daisy and Shaw going out, and in comes Adams and White. So the way i'm reading it is 8-10 out and 4 or 5 in? Does that mean we have to get rookies to fill the list?

Think I heard an interview with Hine saying he was comfortable with a list of 38 players so maybe that is aht he is going with this year.

A few of Hudson, Martin, Dwyer, Frost, Oxley and Mooney could be upgraded from the rookie list.

Yeah I reckon I remember that now that you mention it. Something about the 2014 draft class being amazing, and wanting to load up then? so long as they have a plan I couldn't care less!  8)

Mailman the 2nd

Collingwood going for short term pain in order to achieve massive long term gain.

Next year I can see the same, maybe even out of the 8 with North, GC and Adelaide's stupid draw emerging.

No Shaw or Thomas will hurt any chances next year and they'll have to wait a bit for Jesse White to settle and support Cloke

I wouldn't think Daisy going makes any difference...he made no impact last season.. ;D
