We always face the go home factor,  Just remember that draftees are signed straight from school and to pursue careers sometimes move interstate and this then leads to the go home factor despite club welfare officers best efforts.

Longer, Docherty and Yeo are 3 players who are out of contract and all are classed as require players by Lions according to Warren and he is confident of retaining all three, We have a good record for retaining required players.

Karnezis on the other hand will more than likely be traded, with Polec and Polkinghorne other trade bait possibilities.

But If he rots in the Demons' VFL club that means he'll get 22 games of AFL competition per year.

Expect a decision on Docherty in the next week or 2 as he is having discussions with family at the moment. He is rumoured to be really suffering from home sickness.

Yeo is now close to resigning and club is in talks with Longer and Polec.

Karnezis did not attend club dinner on Friday night so expect him to be traded with Collingwood rumoured to be showing strong interest.

basically with the Turmoil the club is in can understand delays but hoping issues can be resolved quickly so we can get decisions from these youngsters.

Hate the internal politics going on at the moment with Chris Conlan not now accepting the position offered early this week. Local Courier Mail likens the on going saga to a circus but it is not funny and needs to be resolved.

Personally hoping a Craig/Leppa coaching can eventuate or Leppa in his own right as he has had 5 years as an assistant coach.

I think he is a great fit for those 3 clubs and would go well at richmond too.

Just not sure he is needed at North with Atley Mullett and Mcdonald.  would rahter chase NDS.
