Does this work?

Trade Period one:

Crabs give rook 19
Eskimoes get rook 19

Trade Period two

Eskimoes give Kieran Harper
Crabs get Kieran Harper

cheers Rids, that makes sense  ;)

confirmed if it works.

APPROVED

Reasoning: Fairly easy trade to approve here. Harper seems to have taken a few backwards steps in the pecking order at North recently, so rookie 19 is now decent compensation for him.

Trade period 1
Tigers give Picks 43ND, Rook 25
Tigers get Rook 56, rook 58

Vipers give Pick Rook 20
Vipers get Picks 43ND, Rook 17

Ales give Rook 17, Rook 56, Rook 58
Ales get Rook 20, Rook 25

Trade period 2
Tigers give Matt McDonough
Tigers get Majak Daw + Paul Puopolo

Vipers give Majak Daw + Paul Puopolo
Vipers get Matt McDonough

Colli and JB to confirm.
This trade I am not so sure on, mainly on the part of CW. Across the two periods he:

Gives: Rookie 20 + Majak Daw + Paul Puopolo
Gets: Rookie 17 + NAT 43 + Matt McDonough

The rookie pick upgrade isn't much so pretty much he is giving up Daw - an extremely exciting young ruckman, and Puopolo - an established goalkicker who this format favours for a third round pick and a guy who has played one game that I have literally never heard of before.

Now am I missing something with this kid? Because I don't really see how this trade is even at all if he is just a regular young player who has only played one game so far.

Nige

McDonough will be good, but at present, that trade isn't fair.

Daw is also unproven, but more proven then McDonough and Puopolo isn't exactly young (26 next moth) and I wouldn't say he's an established goal kicker. McDonough is a young and very promising young forward, who has had impressive numbers as a junior. Colli hopes he becomes a premuim scoring forward, which there is a good chance he could in the future. I can see your concern as it looks as I win at the moment, but it's not that bad. Colli also has a few good ruckmen and Puopolo isn't very valuable to Colli as he is going for a youthful team.
So what happens next?

elephants

McDonowho?

Collie gets murdered in this trade irrespective of whether Puopolo is an established goal-kicker or not.

BB67th

I'd like to get Colli's thoughts on the trade next to see his reasons for it.

Justin Bieber

This trade is like as bad as we've had in Asians lol

no mcdonuts is going to be a star, no question. but puopolo as i warned jroo would be asking too much after averaging 94.

my reasoning is simple, he is not a required player for my team and never will be, after floating him on the market i received zero interest from any other coach.

now everyone seems interested however :)  the irony of trading .....

really to me the trade is all about daw for mcdonuts, the puoplo for pick 43 is a total rip off to be sure, but irrelevant to me.

understand it is blocked and cannot really argue the point. I did offer a couple of significantly lesser players than puoplo to start with, he is just who we ended up with.

still keen to get mcdonuts but i guess the other parties in the trade or mainly jroo will have to go to bb to see what he can change to get it through.

as for mr mcdonuts:

http://www.richmondfc.com.au/news/2013-10-15/matt-mcdonough-in-focus

Prospectus:  Mcdonough was the third ranked forward in champion date ranking points behind joe daniher and troy menzel at the 2012 u18 champs. played 10 games for SA at the 2011 and 2012 champs booting multiple goals in 8 games and finishing with a total of 31. at u18 level he dominated averaging 29 disposals and kicking 15 goals in 9 matches. was an elite ball winner in sanfl u18.

Freako: "watch his development closely, could be a future star in supercoach".

not a bad prospect - people sjould read up a bit before speaking out too strongly against new players ;)  this one will be a good'n, full preseason and named round 1 will be a rook i'll seriously consider in fantasy comps next season at basement price.

maybe keep your eye on him too :)

Colliwobblers

now you've all made me educate you on mcdonuts jroo probably wont give him up :)

Justin Bieber

Hey I would of paid rook 40 for Pop ?

Hell I would of paid 10 fold that to get pops. I didn't know he was on the market ???

KoopKicka

I love how this happens after every single trade. Even when people advertise it. ::) Happened with every trade I did last year. Pull your head in people and chase someone if you want them. Dont wait for someone to come to you. You cant say you wouldve paid more becuase you never expressed any interest, regardless of whether it was advertised or not.

elephants

Whatlez would have given rookie 4 for Pop... Surely not :P

Justin Bieber

But colli said he advertised him... And got zero interest...

Colliwobblers

as a mid only the risk is for puoplo he becomes irrelevant, but at least for next season he is still a 94 averaging fwd.

i still havent recieved any genuine offers for him imo :)

not expecting the phone to start ringing .....

still trade cant be ridiculously uneven, and while i personally dont think this is one that disadvantages other teams by its uneveness i cant argue it is on the surface borderline ridiculous

still i am a fan of the diamonds in the rough, the stars of the future, mcdonuts could be one of them or another tom ledger, but to me for a player who will warm my pine all season and for the rest of his career it was a risk worth taking.

still bb probably right to block it and we will have to see if a more even deal can be worked out.

just because i dont want a player doesnt make the deal even or fair.  still think most of you underrate mcdonuts.

Tigers seem pretty impressed by him....
