HB   Mitchell   Hodge   Enright
M   Pendles   Selwood   Griffen

F   Thomas   Cameron   Mayne

I'm a bit dodgy on the key backs, and the bench spots are up for grabs really.

FB: M Johnson, E McKenzie, J Gibson
HB: N Malceski, S Thompson, S Mitchell
C:  K Jack, J Selwood, R Griffen
HF: C Mayne, J Roughead, S Motlop
FF: M Walters, J Kennedy, L Thomas
R: W Minson, D Swan, G Ablett
I/C: T Goldstein, S Pendlebury, D Mundy, D Hannebery

I have picked based on position

Defenders: McKenzie and Thompson have been the best 2 key posts (named in squad - not the best IMO).  I thought the squad is thin for defenders.

Forward: Kennedy and Roughead been the best 2 key posts all season (J Cameron was a close third).  Thomas and Walters are clearly the best 2 small forwards, while Mayne and Motlop at HF are no brainers for me.

Ruck: Minson and Goldstein only 2 rucks selected and are clearly the 2 best for the year.

Mids: Swan and GAJ best onballers so get the nod.  I have gone away from the norm with Griffen and Jack as midfielders.  I think both of them have been great this year.  Selwood has had another great year so gets the starting position.

Pendles, Mundy and Hannebery the best of the rest.

I dont think Dangerfield deserves a spot this year but the AA selectors will pick him

Here's my attempt

FB: M Johnson, S Thompson, J Gibson
HB: J McVeigh, H Taylor, S Mitchell
C:  D Swan, J Selwood, R Griffen
HF: C Wingard, T Cloke, S Motlop
FF: J Cameron, J Roughead, L Thomas
R: W Minson, G Ablett, S Pendlebury
I/C: D Mundy, D Hannebery, C Mayne, T Boak

In defense I think Talyor will get the nod just ahead of McKenzie, whilst McVeigh and Malceski are probably fighting for the one spot.

Minson just shades Goldy for No.1 ruck and I think the selectors may say that Roughead can be used as 2nd ruck so Goldy might miss a spot on the bench.

Ablett, Pendles, Swan and Selwood are certainties and Griffen has had a great year.

I think Cloke's finish to the year may see him pip Kennedy (although I hope Kennedy gets the nod). Thomas has been the best small forward and I think the games Walters missed may count against him.

I doubt Wingard and Motlop will both be selected as they tend to pick the more experienced player over a breakout youngster (ie. Dangerfield in this instance). Mayne on the bench for his great season.

The mids on the bench are always subjective as any number of players are deserving.

Travis Boak in Melbourne today suggests he might have made the final 22.

I know everyone going to say i'm bias, but Boaky has carried Port on his shoulders numerous times this year. The problem is a lot of other supporters don't watch many Power games, simply because they(Port) don't get enough  "big" games. The Selwoods,Swans,Pendleberys,Abletts(very deserving),Jacks and so on, get plenty of big games aired , and most would certainly put them in first. Just saying, I think Boaks had a great year

Announced in 15 mins, I'll see how accurate I am:
B: J. Gibson,, S. Thompson,C. Enright
HB: J. McVeigh, H. Taylor, S. Mitchell
C: S. Pendlebury R. Griffen, K. Jack
HF: N. Fyfe, J. Roughead, C. Wingard
F: L. Thomas, J. Cameron, M. Walters
R: W. Minson, G. Ablett (c), J. Selwood (VC)
Bench: N. Reiwoldt, D. Swan, J. Watson, T. Boak

My second crack at it, reckon that team is more balanced. We shall see soon.

Team so far, only bench to come:

B: Enright, Thompson, Johnson
HB: Mitchell, Taylor, McVeigh
C: Griffen, Selwood, Pendlebury
HF: Dangerfield, Cloke, Jack
F: Roughead, Cameron, Wingard
Foll: Minson, Swan, Ablett

The only ones I had different are Gibson over Johnson, Fyfe over danger and Walters over Cloke so far, they've gone a tall forward line
