If I drove on the footpath I would miss them  ;) They are usually walking on edge of road.

On a serious note anyone that is taking the time to go walking etc I applaud them for doing so but yeh
purchase some clothing that reflects light, it's dirt cheap and your life is worth more than a few dollars.
No idea why some persist in using the road in the first pace if there are footpaths available.

A guy has hounded me all day to escalate an issue without telling me why we need to or why it has taken this long for him to contact me. He wanted me to deploy a patch in 2 days without testing it. Told him no chance flower off it takes atleast 6 business days as we have customers to think about. I escalated to another Project Manager and she tore him a new one.

Turns out he was getting favours from another team who had had enough of giving favours without anything in return. So he tried to escalate a release instead

I have now wasted a day on this cow and am only eating lunch now

13 billion dollars being wasted on the Murray Darling Basin with massive water thefts from cotton irrigators in NSW & Queensland.
NSW and Queensland care little about everyone south of them when it comes to water and it appears the NSW Gov has been complicit in the theft aborting any investigation into the theft of huge amounts of water disbanding the task force after evidence of water theft on a massive scale and that flowering meat head Barnaby Joyce calls the 4Corners report a beat up saying the Greens want to take more water from river communities.

What a crock of shower Barnaby it's about making sure river communities and the environment have water to survive. Investigators struggled to find irrigators with working meters to monitor the water taken through NSW and Queensland by irrigators, the NSW minister for water can't or won't say how many prosecutions have been issued. NSW Gov now behind closed doors wanting to go it alone of flower the MDB plan.

Incompetent flowerwitted politicians with hidden agendas grind my gears.
Why the hell we grow cotton or rice for that matter on this continent is beyond me, to many kickbacks to Government from wealthy cotton lobbyists is the only reason we still are because other than that there's little sense in growing cotton, it's not a product that there's a shortage of around the globe, plenty of countries suited to growing cotton doing it so why do we have this overwhelming need to do it.

ICAC need to have a long hard look at everyone from irrigators Gov Officials and ministers both State and Federal involved and prosecute / jail those guilty of offences.

Can you imagine what the money wasted so far could've done for Health care, schools and hospitals. I'm huge on the Murray Darling Basin plan it's vitally important we get this right because if we fail communities, businesses , farms etc etc along the MDB will be flowered and the cost of food in this country will skyrocket without even mentioning the cost to the environment which will be equally devastating.

I beg everyone who cares to have a look at the 4Corners episode in question and then act accordingly via social media if they feel strongly enough. The blatant waste of tax dollars with little rage from the politicians who should be enraged is infuriating to say the least and i'd like to know why ?

Sorry Grazz do not put Qld in there. Will elaborate on other facts later but Qld Irrigators are also complaining about their water buy backs being taken by NSW.
However agree with you as to why cotton and rice which are severely water reliant and water hungry are grown in the driest country on earth. Dollars and jobs seem to mean everything these days but where will we be in 20 years time with no water at all? Show some gonads and make the decisions now and investigate fully.

Sorry mate but Southern Queensland has a bit to answer for also. Kilometers of irrigation channels dug unapproved, lack of metering equipment in working order. Irrigators up and down the river in every state my own included need to put on notice, no longer will this go on unpunished. I should of pressed that Barnaby Joyce is the biggest problem in Queensland for other states involved in the MDB plan.

AG is looking into Barnaby Joyce's dept and their handling of it. Need ICAC to get involved looking at NSW. NSW basically have one minister in question investigating himself.

The MDB plan needs a separate body to police and investigate breaches. It can't be left to any one State to police itself if the MDB plan is to work as intended. NSW have shown they weren't willing to do anything about the thefts prior to the 4Corners story, hopefully that attitude changes quickly now they've been caught doing an appalling job of water management thus far. Corrupt is a strong word but it looks as if certain ministers have been walking very close to the line if not over it.

As you say need an entirely independent body to monitor the MDB and investigate breaches. Should also be a mandatory requirement on irrigators to undertake annual checks on meters and keep records for verification and invoke fines if not done.

And to think noiw they are thinking of doing the same developments in the Kimberleys to grow cotton.  Will we ever learn.
