[Memphistopheles]

You go away for a holiday and a few things happen.

1. Memphistopheles has been appointed assistant coach at Crosby Cruisers and Ossie85 has  requested that he also be appoinbted as co-coach.  As I do not have all my lists here I can not send out votes till I return

2. Sid has stood down as co coach of the Newcastle Falcons and Spinking will now be sole coch of the falcons.

Hmm ok cool. I didn't know Ossie requested that. I don't remember him telling me that though I'm happy for it to happen :D Enjoying all the XVs work/trade chatter atm.

Posting this in here as well.

Just a remindere to all that de-listings need to be finalised by 8:00pm tonight to enable you to take all picks in National Draft if need be.

I have attached the link to current lists as I have them together with number of picks you currently have.  If any is wrong let me know either in the thread or by PM.

National Draft will commence with Nigeys pick and I will keep updated in front post when able. I will post full draft list as soon as possible after National Draft. I will be out tonight so may not be straight away.

Finally I have moved the list of unallocated players and delisted players to the Rookie draft thread.

Hey mate,

Quick question. We have 3 picks coming up but only one spot on our senior list.

However, we'd rather take 3 picks in the NAT draft and 0 in the rookie than 1 NAT and 2 in rookie.

Can we do this and put the NAT picks on our rookie list? Or is there anyway to move other players on our main list to our rookie list now?

Or is this not possible at all?

Nah NAT picks must go on senior list and rookie picks on rookie list until promoted

If you want to use 3 NAT picks you need to have 38 players or less on senior list and can only do this by delisting players by 8pm tonight

KB is right - I would de list 2 players and then pick them up in Rookie draft if able.

Attention Coaches

Check your PM's as I have sent out a vote concerning suggested rule changes to emergencies for next year to make the comp similar to AFL incorporating a sub.

This is another rule change coming later after we have sorted this rule out.  Obviously depends on the vote outcome.

Good morning coaches.

We have a tied vote regarding the Rule change.  I could exercise my right and deliver a casting vote but I do not think that would be right in this instance.

The 2 votes tied are

Option b
Name 4 emergencies one each for Def, Mid, Ruc and Forward and emergency replaces late outs in same line. If utility is a late out first available emergency will be player used. Line replacements of emergencies will be before Utilities.

Similar to option c - Difference being if the sub score is higher than the lowest score of on field players in any position then the subs score will replace the lowest score. 

So I will be sending out a vote again with just these 2 options to allow you to decide,

Should not have sent out the reminder to coaches who had not voted as it resulted in the tie.  Anyway we get the best result for the competition.

Coaches have voted 10 - 8 to use option B for the coming season.

Option b was
Name 4 emergencies one for Def. Mid. Ruck and Forward. Name one of the 4 emergencies as a sub. If the sub has not been used as an emergency replacement and scores higher than the lowest scoring player on the field then the subs score is taken.  eg If Player x scores 45 and your nominated sub scores 80 then the subs score of 80 will replace Player X's score.

So this means for this year you will name an emergency for each line and then nominate one as a substitute,  Then if you designated substitute, and they have not been used to replace late outs , scores more than the lowest scoring player on the field then the subs score will be counted.  Note for the purpose of Home Ground Advantage the Low score will still apply as the player involved had played and been subbed out as in a normal game.

I doubt this is the case and is unlikely to happen, but if we don't have a player to fill the emergency spot for their respective line, are we still allowed to name one in that position (also assuming their score is halved as per the OOP rule).

You are correct Nigey.

Did happen on a few occasion last year Nigey where teams had to name players out of position.

As per rules you are allowed to name an oop player for half points but I will make the rule now that a named player oop can not be named as the substitute to close any possible loop holes.
