PNL trade: Justin Westhoff, Luke Ball and Pick 6
New York trade: Tom Liberatore, Trent McKenzie and Pick 25

The worst trade in WXVs history. For sure. No doubt about it. Worst trade EVER.

Ossie's (I think ossie is collingwood) magpie bias perhaps?

Westhoff = 27yo, old and only 1 good season from many seasons. 98.6 average this year
Luke Ball = 30 next year, old, more or less AS INJURY PRONE AS IT GETS (15 games last 2 seasons) ~100 average
Pick 6

vs.

Liberatore 117.5 average in his last 13 games, 21yo so good 10+ years left (Double what Westhoff and Ball have combined), Will be team captain therefore doubled average as well. Overall 107 average for the season

McKenzie 88.6 average 21yo, so good for 10+ years left. Of defenders that played 15 or more games McKenzie is 16th highest and Westhoff is 10th highest. Once you factor in age difference McKenzie clearly worth more.

Also have to factor in that Liberatore was a top 18 player in the entire competition. That's not just including his run home. His whole season was top 18.

IMO If there was a new draft for SC liberatore would be a top 5 pick from the whole competition. Not just a NAT draft.

IMO Liberatore OR McKenzie > Ball AND Westhoff once you factor in ages and injury proneness and once in a lifetime scoring

Therefore the leftover significantly worth more than pick 6 alone and add pick 25 on top?

Worst trade worlds has ever seen.

Vinny

Yeah I agree, that is an absolutely terrible trade. Shocker.

Sorry fellas! :-\

Listen PNL/NYR, you had a one sided trade, and imma let you finish, but Cape Town had one of the most one sided trades of all time!

My Chumps trades Robert Murphy, Jarrad McVeigh and Stephen Hill to Cookie Monster for Trent Cotchin, Josh P Kennedy and Ryan O'Keefe (confirmed)

Vinny

Hahahaha wow. The ultimate win.

AFEV

Yeah it wasn't great...

Yeah, in hindsight I probs should've negged. AFEV is a smart bloke so backed his decision but it really is a shocker however way you look at it haha.

It still can be as pot hasnt voted?

Nails

I think Ossie had final say no matter what

But I think with Afev's admission it was shower trade/should be negged + Jay's regret at a non-neg + pot who should neg it = enough for a recount imo.

If I knew these guys were on the table I would have done

Sam Mitchell *. Dahlhaus + pick 5 for them which is a much better trad especially if Mitchell gets DPP

Obviously don't have pick 5 anymore but even Mitchell+Judd+Dahlhaus is better

Think many would offer more

Jay

Actually didnt realise that Libba was this beastly haha. Like Nails said, he'd probably go top 5 if this draft was re-done.

Scratching my head as to how coaches let this bass but no Nicholls for Jenkins + 8 ???
