As ossie said I think the majority would reject the trade.

If it's for a late late pick or even PSD pick and there's a chance the player could do a Hudson or defect to a season or two at one of the expansion teams then I think it's alright?

I traded pick 86 for David Rodan last year after he was delisted by Port (or did he retire?), on the off chance he'd find a new home and he did.

Ringo

And I traded in Ben Hudson as well in last years trade period.

Don't remind me, he'd be handy at the moment.

DazBurg

and in a massive trade

YES PNL have made another trade :O :O
with New York

it see's

PNL gives: Justin Westoff, Luke Ball, Nat #6
NY Gives : Tom Liberatore, Trent Mckenzie and Nat #25

Reason: We been looking for another young mid to bolster the middle and were going to go for one with pick 6 anyways
and mckenzie will help with the defense as it seems myers may lose dpp
westy while a massive gun forward we feel out most depth and potential is in our forward line meaning we could part with him

Confirmed.
We're desperate for more forward quality and Westhoff is a top 10 forward so he gives us that. Ball for Liberatore is a loss but iltimately I think we'll only lose about 5 PPG there and with #6 I think we will be able to pick up a top line mid that can make immediate impact.
This draft is too challow for #25 to be worth much, we just used it to push the trade through.

Nige

#969
New York give: Dion Prestia, Jonathan Giles, Brodie Smith and Pick 65
Cairo give: David Armitage, Mathew Stokes, Josh Gibson, Jed Anderson and Pick 55

Reason from Cairo: I was shopping around David Armitage and Ax said Prestia could possibly be traded. I also wanted Giles because we have Mumford. Brodie Smith was also up for sale and was going fairly cheaply, so I offered Josh Gibson who Ax happily accepted to compensate for the loss of a defender. We acquired Stokes this trade period and were planning on using him, but Ax asked for Stokes because he can pair him up with Christo. Kerridge is an add on to even out the trade along with the upgrade of Pick 65 to Pick 55 because the players we are getting are younger than those being received from New York.

Reason from New York: Basically what Nige said above. I was thinking of doing a fire sale of thoughts, but thought that would be too extreme. Instead, I floated a few names, some of which he knocked back. Armitage has potential to be the No.2 mid at the Saints (if he isn't already) behind Steven. Stokes averaged nicely this season and should work well, especially now that we have both him and Christensen. Gibson is a good substitute for the loss of Brodie, even if he a lot older. Kerridge is really just extra to even things out as it may be seen as us giving a bit away.

Ax/AFEV/Sid to confirm.

NY getting raped
I really don't think so.

It was difficult to put together, but we worked on it to make it as even as we could and make everyone happy.  :)

Jay

Pacific give: 24 + 81
Sao Paula give: Brad Sheppard + 39 + 75

This trade helps us improve our mid depth a bit. CF to confirm :)

Confirmed.

CrowsFan

Confirmed. Wanted to get a higher draft pick and used Sheppard to do it. I'm sure one day he will be a great scorer, but right now he is well behind the rest of my mids (except Raines). Picks 75 and 81 swapped to please tbag who didn't just want Shep + 39 for 24. To me they are negligible ;)
