Really nothing much wrong with the trade, hardly favours anyone that much pending your own views, seriously though, how is it that bad?

Nicholls' average will drop a showerload when he is playing #2 ruck.

Something to consider.

Will Nicholls play 2nd ruck, or will Smith? If you ask me the trade is fair!

elephants

Zac Smith is GC's #1 ruck.

Nicholls can jump way higher though.

Doesn't matter if he can jump over the moon or not if Zmith outdoes him in the more important aspects of ruck work. Last time I checked, there was no fantasy points for jumping.  :P

Agree with it all lads.

kilbluff1985

I rate Nicholls over Smith just because of his 2nd efforts

Thing is, the trade hardly favours either part much either way, some for, some against pending your value on the players

The AFL would allow it :o

Too many people are like

blah blah blah what if this/that and the other

You can only judge him on what you've seen.

The recruiters at Richmond were like "what if we get Tambling? he'll be gun"

But he wasn't.

Cox and NicNait don't really steal points off each other. They're both premiums. Whose to say Nicholls won't get even better with Smith in the team?

You can only judge him based on what you have seen and not 1,000 potential what ifs.

It's unlikely but Zmith might even get traded then Nicholls #gunfor10years

Oh holz and re: picks 5 and 8

I don't think there's a huge difference. Especially w/ a fantasy draft. It's essentially a huge guessing game.

As you say, could've got Wingard etc. Really Wingard should've been taken higher than 6.

Why was Tambling taken so high, or Mitchell Thorpe etc. ?

Essentially drafts are guessing games, including fantasy drafts. Therefore somebody guessing at 5 isn't really any difference to a guess at 8.

Master Q

And who says Tom Boyd will be good? My trade was still negged  :P

Also I think you have to consider that Nicholls is an athletic ruckmen, which IMO means that his peak years are when he is young, and he'll have to adjust his game once he slows down.

Really why I negged the trade is that Nicholls isn't way more valuable than Jenkins, and Pick 8 is still an awesome pick.

No, the trade severaly favours either party depending how you rate the players ;)

And can people get flowered with comparing Cox/NicNat to Zmith/Nicholls? ::)
