Pick 41 is far from a solid pick in this years draft.

Solid picks finish around the 25-30 mark this year.
Mark Hutchings was taken with pick 89 last year, so potential to get good players anywhere in the draft ;)

If I had had more than 2 picks in last years draft I would have picked him up well before then...
I thought I took him with 81?  ???

Regardless...

8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
Nope it was 89 ;)
If I had a pick in round 3 or 4 I would have picked him up though. Selected him in euros for the bison with pick 49, and my original 3rd round pick in the world draft was pick 53, but ended up trading away all my picks except for 2...

Hutchings really doesn't suit your team Nige ;)

With our second last pick, Cairo will take:

Mark Hutchings

Mature aged recruit for the Eagles, runner-up in the Sandover Medal and West Perth's best and fairest. Will be tough for him to break into the Eagles' midfield though.

:o The memories. Such a bad call in that last sentence though, must have been high.  :P

elephants

Nah he's no good. I hear we could delist him.

Give him to NDT just to be safe :)

All that assignmenting has driven you loco.

Taylor has been 27 for months

He's 28 during next season... old fart

Golby will average the same if not more than Taylor next season.

Thats a 20 point increase by Golby. Surely you'll be starting him in SC if thats the case :o

Master Q

Oh, so being 27 means you are an old fart? What is Fletcher then?

Pretty much yep. I've only got 7 players in my squad of 46 who are 27 or over :P

Vinny

Hahaha Nige ^

Perfect mix between old and youth ;)

My Chumps

It's just that he's 27 and he's never averaged over 95 Q  :-\

I mean, if you look at who was drafted at number one in the 10 drafts before 2011 you get these players:

David Swallow - highest average 79 but still only 20
Tom Scully - highest average 79 but still only 21
Jack Watts - highest average 86 and is still considered a bust of a number 1 pick. Still only 22
Matthew Kreuzer - highest average 97
Bryce Gibbs - highest average 108
Marc Murphy - highest average 118
Brett Deledio - highest average 116
Adam Cooney - highest average 106
Brendan Goddard - highest average 130
Luke Hodge - highest average 118
Nick Riewoldt - highest average 117

So only the most recent three have averaged less than Harry Taylor, and they've all got time to grow. Add this to the fact that Tom Boyd is touted as one of the best prospects ever seen, and I think you've got someone worth more than Taylor.
