Where's the updated cap? Doesn't look updated to me

Hopefully in the next couple of days

I don't really care how long it takes. Thought Nigey was reading off a different hymnbook to me is all.

My Chumps

Comparing Hawkins to Beau Muston. Are you serious? "A spud who had a few good games one season". He averaged 98 (or something) without his sub affected game. That's 20 games in case you were wondering.

"Never played 22 games" - played 21 in 2012 and 20 this year. Not really sure what you're arguing here.

And I find it hard to take this arguement from somebody with your list.
Quote from: Nails on September 12, 2013, 11:01:25 AMAlso Gaff is 4 years younger. That's HUGE, you have a player that'll play for a club 4 years more than what Hawkins will. Possibly 6-7 years more if Hawkins retires due to back issues in a few years.

And yes, I can go on about how Hawkins was good in 2012... because he was. Key forwards take time to develop. He broke out when he was 24. Why can't I go on about that again?

I figured that since each player's value/score was on the first page, I could add and subtract the numbers myself rather than waiting for Os. Plus, I have a little bit of time to kill before I leave for Uni (although that's almost all chewed up now).

Oops, forgot to vote! Sorry team, wont happen again.

Sorry Chumps, but your trade was the most lop-sided out of all them.

Regardless of who's better out of Hawkins and Gaff, Pick 8 totally tips the scales! A top 10 draft pick! Do you understand what that is woth?

It was worth very little to me.
*sigh*
Looks like I'm doomed to not have Hawkins, given I was trying negotiate a Gaff:Hawkins straight trade for like 6 months and Cump wouldn't have a bar of it.

I'll have to find somebody else I suppose.

Um you're funny Nigey ::) how can you possibly say that Nicholls isn't worth pick 5 when the trade got negged because I was losing too much. Of course you won't admit that you're wrong, but going by the opinions of other coaches Nicholls is worth much more than pick 5!

Well yeah, Witts/Nicholls is still on the table. Chuck us your best offers and we'll accept 1 of them :)

...

I fail to see how Tom Nicholls is worth Pick 5 or better. Somebody, enlighten me please.

Master Q

Can't, sorry Nigey. I agree with you  :P

Young, proven scorer vs who knows. Also is a Ruck which is very limited where pick 5 will likely be a mid which are easy to find.

An interesting one is do people rate Nicholls or longer last year more. As I traded longer for pick 5

Tom Nicholls is a 21 year old ruck in an improving team. In 2013 averaged 92ppg, which happened to be just his 2nd season! If you take out the game vs Carlton where he was injury affected (iirc) he averaged 100... Rucks that average 100 don't just grow on trees mate especially one this young. Whereas pick 5 is likely to be a mid and much more easy to acquire. Everyone is worried about Zac Smith returning affecting Nicholls, but Zac Smith isn't as good as him anyway so I can't see how he'll affect him. We would love to keep Nicholls but we feel him, Leuey, Longer and Witts would be too much so 1 needs to go! Longer stays because we have Leuey and everyone knows that having a team's no.1 ruck and their backup ruck = a good strategy. Witts I feel has a good career ahead of him and will start to see regular games in 2014 now Jolly is gone. Between Witts and Longer, we should have serviceable backup for Leuenberger. Nicholls would be unnecessary to have on the list, so why not trade him to help our other positions that need more work? Makes perfect sense to me!

Hope this opened your eyes a bit :)

kilbluff1985

Smith will still take points off Nicholls sharing ruck duties etc

NicNat doesn't really take points off Cox...
