Don't see this trade passing.

One of the best young rucks in the comp is worth more than pick 5 alone imo. No guarantee you'll get a better player with pick 5. Dislike strongly.

Jack Watts isn't a spud, I was pretty close to trading Birchall for him.
I'd be more concerned about drafting Lucas Cook.

New York trade: Grant Birchall + Tom Lee

my two north boys are huge loses, both showed massive promise this year and look to take it up another notch next year. Pick 10 would have got a very good player in this draft, last year pick 10 got me Hogan. But im looking for immediate success and Birchall is a long way ahead of atley and black in development they will take a few years to reach premo status.

Tom lee just a little sweetener getting one of my Claremont guys never hurts.

Haha, seriously though, saying goodbye to Hawkins is hard. I still believe he has the potential to average 100+ in the future but this deal is just too good to refuse.
Gaff has struggled heaps with a tag, but I'm sure he'll learn to shake it soon enough. Pick is important too, hopefully I can get the bloke I'm looking at.
