Oh holz and re: picks 5 and 8

I don't think there's a huge difference. Especially w/ a fantasy draft. It's essentially a huge guessing game.

As you say, could've got Wingard etc. Really Wingard should've been taken higher than 6.

Why was Tambling taken so high, or Mitchell Thorpe etc. ?

Essentially drafts are guessing games, including fantasy drafts. Therefore somebody guessing at 5 isn't really any difference to a guess at 8.
Not really. If you research enough or even check stats or their fantasy scores in the past (in this case TAC Cup/VFL etc) you can find out which players are better than others in that respect.

Tom Boyd's almost certainly going to be the No.1 pick in the AFL draft, but he's definitely not the best fantasy scorer of the guys who'll be drafted.

Just because Boyd's gonna be Pick 1 in the AFL doesn't meant pot (if he keeps the first pick) has to take Boyd. He could take Aish, Kelly, Billings, Scharenberg... just to name a few. They're all gonna be better scorers, plus one or two should have of those guys should have DPP, which is valuable in fantasy.

Oh really? Where did you buy your crystal ball?

I've read multiple times that Boyd plays most like Jonathon Brown. Brown averaged 114 in 2005 (14 games), 140 in 2006 (10 games), 111 in 2007 (22 games), 100 in 2008 (21 games), and 99 in 2009 (22 games), plus probably again 110+ in 2004 before SC started. Definitely doesn't read spud scorer to me.

Disagree fantasy drafts are much easier to pick than real drafts.

Guys like omeara Martin etc. are easy picks who go inside the top 5.

It's not a given, but it's likely.

Never called him a spud scorer, I just said that I think some of the other guys who will be taken after him in the AFL draft and potentially the draft here in Worlds will likely be better scorers.

This is exactly why it makes me sad people rate Pick 1 over Harry Taylor..

*refer to my post a few pages back about the history of the #1 pick and their scoring potential :P

It's very unlikely to get someone who's career best average is 94 (Taylor's) with the first pick.

Too many people are like

blah blah blah what if this/that and the other

You can only judge him on what you've seen.

The recruiters at Richmond were like "what if we get Tambling? he'll be gun"

But he wasn't.

Cox and NicNait don't really steal points off each other. They're both premiums. Whose to say Nicholls won't get even better with Smith in the team?

You can only judge him based on what you have seen and not 1,000 potential what ifs.

It's unlikely but Zmith might even get traded then Nicholls #gunfor10years

I feel weird agreeing with Nails so much.

Pacific give: Tom Nicholls + NAT 25
New York give: Josh Jenkins + NAT 8

Pyro to confirm.
