I have exams this week MC, but squeezed in time for the voting earlier today :)
Solid commitment

HP has because Oss said he pointed out the mistake over PM. 3 left. Can't imagine CF being late on these type of things, unless he has some assignments or something. Sid hasn't been on all night and it's highly doubtful that Pyro would do it.
Pointing out the mistake doesn't mean I voted ;). Just means I've seen the PM :P.

I haven't done a worlds trade and the window has been open for 9 days now.

Yeah haha, my bad. Almost had a few things but y'know how it is.

It is still very early days in  the trading period.

I have not done a trade either ele but am negotiating on a couple. It just means we are really cautious about what we want.

In my case I do not have a strong team but do not have a real lot to offer either so need to look closely at all trades.

ossie85

Right! First of all, only elephants hasn't voted, but his vote won't change a single thing, so will announce. Elephants! You should still vote though for the record, because a 2nd missed period could see you sacked....

We have new Co-Coaches!

Ricochet and Torpedo10 both pass! Welcome aboard Rico and welcome back Torp!

Trade 3
Cape Town trade: Colin Sylvia

Cairo trade: Nick Dal Santo and Lindsay Thomas

Trade 9

Cairo trade: Jason Johannisen, Michael Evans and Pick 37

Trade 11
Seoul trade: Dawson Simpson + Pick 46

Dublin trade: Aaron Black, Shaun Atley, Pick 10, Pick 49
New York trade: Grant Birchall and Tom Lee

Trade 15
Tokyo trade: Pick 26
Berlin trade: Mitch Clisby and Pick 90

Trade 16
Moscow trade: Adam Treloar, Will Hoskin-Elliott, Pick 35, Pick 71
New York trade: Dyson Heppell and Pick 10

Trade 17
Berlin trade: David Swallow, Kane Lucas, Thomas Lynch (GC), Pick 36 and Pick 54
Seoul trade: Josh J Kennedy, Paul Duffield, Hayden Ballantyne and Pick 82

Trades Fully Rejected (9 votes or more)
* These trades passed, with or without my support

Trade 2
Moscow trade: Shaun Higgins & Pick 53
Mexico City trade: Daniel Currie & Pick 38

Reason: General consensus being that an injury prone Higgins is still of far greater value than a gameless 24 year old ruck, the difference in picks does not make the difference.

Trade 12
Pacific trades: Tom Nicholls, Daniel Talia and Pick 60
Tokyo trade: Pick 5 and Pick 44

Reason: Tom Nicholls of great value, and Pacific should be looking at increasing depth, not losing it. Also, even if this trade wasn't rejected by the coaches, it would not have passed Salary cap restrictions as it dropped Pacific below the 24,000 mark.

Trade 14
Cape Town trade: Tom Hawkins
New York trade: Andrew Gaff and Pick 8

Reason: Hawkins and Gaff seen to have roughly equal worth, and that Pick 8 is too much in addition.

Trades Passed by the Coaches, but referred to me (3 votes or more)

Trade 1
Dublin trade: Jesse Hogan & Sam Docherty
Moscow trade: Michael Walters & Jack Darling

Final verdict: PASS Although Hogan basically unproven, it is basically the same as trading for a top 3 pick. No issue from me.

Trade 5
Cairo trade: Brad Sewell and Chris Newman
Buenos Aires trade: Pick 37 and Pick 55

Final verdict: PASS Extremely close to rejecting this one, but with Newman basically done, and Sewell likely on the decline, the picks are just ok. Also, Buenos Aires need to start planning for the future, so similar trades like this might be rejected involving Buenos Aires in the future.

Trade 7
Cairo trade: Danny Stanley, Matt Jones, Lewis Stevenson and Pick 88
Beijing trade: Sam Kerridge and Pick 23

Final verdict: PASS No problem from me, this the exact kind of trade the salary cap should be encouraging.

Trades Rejected by the Coaches, but referred to me (8 votes or less)

So what do people think is going to happen to Nicholls when Smith is back then?

The way I see it is that Nicholls + Talia aren't worth Pick 5 and 44 (yes, I know pick 60 is involved). Talia's a meh scorer due to the role he plays and as Os said, Pacific need the depth. My opinion on Nicholls is that while he averaged really nicely, we haven't seen him play in a team with both Zmith and Dixo, which most likely will reduce his output making him nowhere near as valuable and as good as he's currently being rated. Plus, you can't be totally upset, you do have Dawson Simpson now.

Also, can we get an update on caps please Os (if you have a record of it, happy to work it out myself if you don't)?

So your saying that Nicholls isny worth pick 5 when the trade got negged because hes worth more? Lol.

Imo thought it was a much fairer trade then the three thst were referred to ossie

amazingly I was least worried about the hogan trade I thought the jaeger bomb or birchall deal would have copped more votes.

anyway on that time to release the blockbuster trade.

correct me if im wrong chumps

Dublin Trade: Jack Watts + Jack Darling + Jed Lamb + Brad Hill + Lachy Plowman
Cape Town Trades: Jobe Watson + Lyndenn Dunn

Reason: Jobe Watson is a star, while he is pushing on in age he is contracted for 4 more years and while im not expecing him to be going 110+ in 3 years time he should be more than respectable. I need that 6th mid with the second utility spot normally vacated by NVB or other postions. Just doesnt cut it for a premiership hopeful. Dunn has questions marks on JS and role, if everything goes to plan he is a 90 average back, if it doesnt he plays in the vfl.

I have faith in guys like schoenemakers who i think would have averaged 75+ this year if he didnt get injured.

everyone tells me how good darling is but im not a big fan, watts is a massive loss as he was just starting to come good. He is one of the reasons why dublin were soo dominant towards the end of the year. Hill locked himself in the hawks 22 in his second year, thats very imprseive, plowman another top 3 pick with potential and lamb if he cracks into the sqaud can make it.

Im losing depth and youth but I have alot of guys on the bench that i really rate to cover. Im losing 2 of my starting 15 but gaininy 2 starters that i belief will combine for a bigger score.

Kinda thought it meant people thought Jay was giving away to much not us

If the Nicholls/Simpson trade went through we had trades planned we liked for Hampson and another one with Judd and Campbell

Now can't really do them

Shocked the Kerridge one got passed he is worth Stanley how is pick 23 worth Matt Jones, Stevenson and 88 ??

Maca24

I only negged one trade last week  :P

Sorry Holz, but that gets negged from me.

I understand you're worried about our future Oss, but we can always trade those premos next season for younger players when it becomes an issue.

Instead of being worried about our future, perhaps you should worry about our now :o

Having had like 5 games where we played under 15.0 players, adding depth is good for the now.
