Rumours are circling that key Puma forward Jarryd 'Roughy' Roughead is close to leaving the club. Sources say he is sick of spending half his wage on sunscreen and is looking to move on.

Get your offers in quick if you want him ;)

If he comes to Cairo we can have an all-Hawks forward line.  :o ;D

Alrighty, Berlin's first trade!

BERLIN trade: Matthew Stokes, John Butcher and Jamie Cripps

CAIRO trade: Nick Dal Santo and Lindsay Thomas

Reason: Lindsay Thomas, although is in the AA team with a measly average of 70-odd, is a forward that will play for North when fit, he is clearly in the best 22 and he will provide good depth.
Nick Dal Santo I think can jump back into the 100+ bracket, as he will provide Midfield fire power.

I am not a huge fan of either Jamie Cripps or John Butcher, so you could almost say they even out with Thomas, while I have concerns whether Stokes will retain his forward status and I'd thought I'd cash him in just in case he turns out to be a pure mid. Also have doubts that he can back up his fine year for Berlin. Will miss you Matt!

My Chumps

Cape Town trade: Greg Broughton
Tokyo trade: Lewis Jetta

Would like a forward, and a young one at that. Broughton is really, really annoying to coach. Wanted him out of there.

Confirmed.

Our reasons are this:

Dal Santo's averaged quite well over the years but is aging and dropped below a 100 average for this first time this year, with some of the younger players in our squad getting better, plus draftees to come in, we should be able to fill that void. In regards to Lindsay Thomas, he's caused us a bit of heartache some weeks, plus we have some good young forwards coming through like Lewis Johnston and Luke Breust.

Cripps was on our list in 2012 and got traded, I believe he should be a forward and hope he will become one, but if not, is handy mid depth. John Butcher may not be a starter for us immediately, but adds to the depth in our forward line and should hopefully improve and become a better scorer and maybe crack our best 4 forwards. Stokes is the big one in this deal obviously. I'm remaining hopeful that he will in fact continue to score well and also remain a forward, hopefully gaining DPP instead of losing his F eligibility.

I'll admit, I went all rebel with this one and didn't consult ML before agreeing to it but figured that as co-coach I think I have enough power to pull the trigger on my own.  :P

Cape Town Cobras give: Troy Chaplin + Sam Dwyer
Cairo Sands give: Jason Johannisen, Michael Evans + Pick 37

Reason: Evans played a few games for us but got buried in the mid depth we had and wasn't getting games once others moved ahead in the pecking order. Johannisen was looking very promising, and I'm a big fan, but I felt that we needed to throw him in to get the deal done. Pick 37 is one of three 2nd round picks we have and is the one we got from Nails in a deal we've already made.

Troy Chaplin and Sam Dwyer are a bit older, but better scorers and and good depth to our squad as well being good enough to fill the interchange spots (in Dwyer's case anyway) and possibly even the D4 spot (in Chappy's case). I also felt we were getting a bit too hung up on pursuing forwards as well and that we shouldn't be neglecting our backline and midfield which are seemingly getting smaller through trades and the soon-to-be-made delistings.

Chaplin another player that I'm super p*ssed at for being a spud this season after I traded him in expecting 80+ average. He had to go. Don't p*ss of My Chumps, I'm telling you boys :P
Dwyer leaving is very unfortunate. I like him a lot, but I fell like his max average is mid seventies.

Johannisen (I'm going to have to learn to spell his name off by heart) is a big plus. I really like him. Shouldn't be too starved of gametime at the Bulldogs. Evans is handy, hopefully Roos brings out the best in him. When he plays he scores quite well. Pick is a bonus.

JBs-Hawks

Seoul gives: Dawson Simpson + Pick 46
Tokyo gives: Ben Mcglynn

Master Q

Think you can send out the trade voting form a few days early Os? I am real keen  :P

Hopefully West or Simpson will play each week and Simpson has shown some real talent

With Vardy, Big Dawson and Blitz... even H-Mac, I don't even know whether West would be in Geelong's plans for too much longer.  :-X
