Are AFL analyists bias against Richmond or something?

I just read the above article and where they placed Richmond & Carlton in the Power Rankings came as a bit of a shock to me. I'm a Port Adelaide supporter but I am dreading the either Collingwood or Richmond game at the MCG (currently think both would destroy us) and the fact they put Richmond in 7th is confusing to me. Is Cotchin injured or something? The reason they put them in 8th was the most peculiar part "Won their first game by over 100 points since beating Fitzroy in 1996. The win on Sunday probably means just as much." Is Ben Hocking just a rant artist because this isn't the first time I've seen anti-Richmond rhetoric published by an analyst and I'm thinking do people resent them or fear them because I think that they will be a top 4 team over the next few years (I could see it as far back as 2010 when their then inexperienced players -soon to be Dusty, Jroo, Cotchin etc- picked off some challenging competition every now and then)?

Hawks Pies Gellong Freo Sydney are easily better than them so they should be 6 or lower.

Essendon are better than them, but the scandal has stuffed them around.

I might sound bias here but North should be ahead of richmond too. Has pushed all the big sides, took out gellong a few weeks back and almost beat the hawks.

Port v Richmond you can mount a case for richmond to be higher but its close.

7-9 seems fair.

Hawks still number 1, I put freo marginally ahead of the cats.

saying that im tipping a Cats v Freo grandfinal, where the Cats win (more experienced)

haha I'm just inquiring because I'm curious on how exactly they are worked out hahaha. Are all the analysts full of shower? Because I noticed that each analyst has a few teams they are always patronising (Richmond is easily the most sought after)

That do these sort of things to be deliberately controversial. If they just did a plain old ranking then no one would pay attention but if they make some big/ridiculous calls then people start talking about it and it drives more traffic to the site. So yeah, I believe these guys are full of shower. ;D

No, we finished 5th because we finished 5th and didn't give up 5 goal leads every 3 weeks.

freo to a prelim - so top 2
richmond out round 1
port through to the next round.

seemed like the ranking were fair.
