Then why did they negotiate and ACCEPT the penalties. Anti- obesity injections !!! what a load of crap. bet there

was more behind closed doors. Why did Hird issue a writ against the AFL and then accept a 12 month ban ? , and

apologise ?? they got what they deserved, feel sorry for the players tho'

Ricochet

because otherwise it would have dragged on for months/years and affected their family and friends more than it already has

thats true, all ASADA evidence and statements would have been inadmissable at the AFL hearing (had there been one), so the whole investigation and interview process would have needed to be repeated

.......the toll on Essendon and its players if this had happened (even if totally exonerated) would have far outweighed the sanctions already imposed

The loss of draft picks is what will really hurt the bombers. Leaves them very vulnerable in two or so years time.

Ricochet

I think they'll trade pretty hard for draft picks. Otherwise they will be in trouble

Blueboys

Just glad its over so sick of it all. Serious breach of Confidentiality in the whole process here.

If the Bombers had prolonged it they would have played finals and got this years draft picks!! AFL could'nt kick

'em out of the finals half way thro".

I'm seriously considering trading out Stants this week. He's just too much of a liability atm

I ditched Stants a month ago, you can't trust him in a GF. Masten a nice sideways replacement.
