It's actually a thing that's bugged me though, that finals games are included in Rising star eligibility - but you can't get nominated.

Steele Sidebottom and Jarryd Blair are recent examples of players who would have easily gotten nominations, but were ineligible because they went over the 10 game mark IN THE FINALS

yup, and they shouldn't (or alternatively players should be able to get nominated in finals)

jack martin and jesse hogan i would put ahead of him.

Hogan as a key forward with the worst midfield is gonna struggle for stats, though a huge talent.

Jack Martin you're right, is probably a huge chance, but in my mind I think a 19/20 year old holding down a #1 ruck spot is more valuable than a guy who is likely at BEST going to be the #3 midfielder at a club in 2014

The stupid thing is, is really anyone suprised? we all knew he was this good.

Gws should have taken him top 3.

I argued Melbourne should have taken wines or Grundy.

Even Richmond could have used Grundy with maric not that young and he is carrying injuries.

I was stoked that grundy was still available at like pick 13, and then was spitting with rage we didnt take him.

Yeah biggest steal getting Grundy at pick #18. Looked at him all throughout the draft and thought geez, this boy can play.

Thought he'd easily be top 5 let alone top 10, but he kind of got forgotten I feel. Well done to us though, stoked to have him aboard!
