Jude Bolton is rumoured to announce his retirement at 2pm today.

A true professional and a tough player that always played with heart and never gave up. If there are any kids out there looking for a rolemodel and someone to follow in the footsteps of, Jude is your man.

I was lucky to meet Jude a couple of years ago and he is a real character. Loves being with the lads, but when that siren sounds, its game on and his game face comes on.

On behalf of myself and other Swans and AFL fans i would like to say thanks for everything Jude and wish you well as part of Channel 7's new commentary team.

Sad to hear, he is one of my all time favourite players. Such a great midfielder, tackle machine and really shows you what the Bloods culture is all about. Will leave a big hole in the Sydney side and hard to replace.

One of my favourite players also, a true champ of the game. If even 10% of his work ethic and skill was passed on to some of his potential replacements (Parker, Mitchell), then that's a success.
