Hi Guys,

This is my team.  I have 2 trades left and 360,400 in the bank. I have 3 prelims this week, 2 against Crawf.

Backs
GODDARD, HANLEY, GIBBS, TERLICH, DUFFIELD, STAKER
Bench
HEPPELL, THURLOW

MIDFIELDERS
PENDLEBURY, ABLETT, JELWOOD, GRIFFEN, KENNEDY JP, DELEDIO, FYFE, MUNDY,
Bench
MITCHELL, MARTIN, Kyle

RUCKS
COX, MCEVOY
Bench
WITTS, OSBORN,

FORWARDS
WALKER, MARTIN, KENNEDY JJ, ZORKO, JOHNSON,  HARVEY,
Bench
DANIHER, TABERNER

So question is how many trades should I use (plan was 1) and where do I need the trade the most?

Obviously I can afford anyone. Had looked at double trade Zorko>Rockliff, McEvoy>Minson. That would cover Crawfs strengths over my team, but do I want to try and win with too similar a team or take some chances with some PODs.
Zorko has been a thorn in my side since day one but had other traders to get done, should I finally trade him? Mc Evoy scores a re killing me.  He lost me a final last week in my first league leaving me these other three to fight for (pretty annoyed about that). My biggest problem is bench cover, I think I made a couple of mistakes and lost my planned cover in what I thought were clever trades a few weeks back. So my backline and rucks have no emergencies.

What do you think?

I like your proposed trades. I think Rocky is a must have and Big Boy is well down on form so getting in Minson is also a smart move.

Your defense seems a bit weak, although with all the carnage there this week avoiding a donut is going better than some coaches out there  ;)

But do you think I should do one this week and one next week? Or put all of my eggs in one basket, try to get to the Granny and hope for some good luck with injuries. Its hard, there is no point in having one trade left and not making the GF but if I do make it and I could with my team, I may lose the GF.

Yeah I know my backline is a little cobbled together.  Injuries haven't helped in that I had Heppell and Duffman as locks for prem spots. Duff has had a crap season and Heppell went down last week. I was going to get Shaw but his scores have been rubbish and Terlich against him has been a win in recent weeks.

It's the age old conundrum whether to use both this week or save 1 for the game next week that might never come.

The 4 players involved in the trades (Rocky, Zorko, Minson, McEvoy) all play on Sunday so you could check the progress against your opponent/s after Saturday night and maybe that will determine whether you need to use 1 or both trades.

You're legend Rusty!. Great plan. Got into the habit of trading on Fridays over the years but much better idea to play the longer game. Awesome!
