Lets make this a little simpler for everyone!

Is this the best (on field) backline possible atm?

Goddard, Hibberd, Enright, Johnson, Gibbs, Scotland

AlexIsOnFire

I think Hibberd will get tagged with Heppell out,
Duffield has been scoring well without Ibbo
Ellis has a high ceiling and against GWS anything could happen

I like Mackie this week as a POD, coming off 97 last week, last 2 games at home....

rhyatt

So you disagree and would run with...

Goddard, Dufflield, Enright, Mackie, Gibbs, Ellis?

AlexIsOnFire

Yep, That's based on match ups for me

Ellis vs GWS
Duff based on last 2 weeks, including 70 at half time (fade out after that)
Hibberd will get tagged by Armfield IMO
Mackie as a roughy
Birchall looks up and about too, should be a high scoring game against the roos

My back line is

Goddard, Gibbs, Ellis, Duff, Enright, Birchall, Mackie on the bench...

MinistryOfFootball

Goddard and Enright are the only players you could lock in.
The next 4 spots could easily be taken by Gibbs, Bob Murphy, Hibberd, mackie, Duffield, Ellis, Johnson, Houli, O'Brien, grimes, Mckenzie, Hanley, Scotland!  Tough choices all should score similar though.

if you didn't have Enright, would you bring him in over such players like Murphy?

I would, but if you're looking for a potential 120+ i'd go for someone like Ellis, Scotland etc

essendon2

Mackie v Hanley v Pearce v Duffman v Murphy v O'Brien v Scotland

NO!
he relies on SO much junk to get a decent score, a bit like Bartel
if you do get him, then don't follow the game scores, for your own benefit

blues boy

Already have Goddard, Enright, Hanley, Hibberd, Gibbs (Grimes and Clisby)
And i need a replacement for Heppel
Tossing up between D. Pearce, Mackie, Scotland and Ellis

Please help i will give a cheer

Glort

D.Pierce looks good but I personally just see him as a bit flakey to bring in to my team. I will be picking 2 out of Ellis, Harry'O, and Scotland. I'm passing on Enright because Im more interested in pulling a hundred out not a guaranteed 80.

blues boy

Yeah enright is there for a constant 80 which is making me think i need someone with a high ceiling which is making me lean towards ellis

Rusty00

I'm not sure Gibbs is in the best back 6 at the moment.

5 game average of 80 (outside Top 20 of available defenders)
3 game average of 78 (outside Top 20 of available defenders)
Only 1 ton in last 7 games
Only 2 scores above 78 in last 7 games  :o

rhyatt

so ELLIS over Johnson... big call IMO
