QuoteInjured ruckman Jon Griffin is close to hitting the track again as he continues his rehabilitation from a knee reconstruction.

we will need him next year... Sandilands shouldnt have to do much if any ruck work next year if Clarke wants to take the next step

What do you guys seeing as the ruck setup next year when/if all 3 are fit?

valkorum

I feel like I am betraying the club as it hurts me to say this, but I see our ruck moving forward as Griffin/Clarke.

Interesting....he's been massive (in more ways than one) over the years....I dunno I just feel like Sandi could throw something in the mix in the finals and big games if he does get up for finals this year like Lyon said.

With that setup would Clarke be playing the 2nd tall forward for about 70% of the game and then giving Griffin a chop out?

Rooboys.  That setup is for next season.  Sandi will play in finals - no doubt about that.

I think the ruck load will be close to 50/50 or 60/40 as they both can play forward and stretch the defense.  I think Griffin is a better ruckman but the Afro Samurai is really good around the ground (not that Griffin isnt either).

Yeah I know I know, but just saying if Sandi stands up and dominates in a prelim or something which wouldn't surprise me at all he'd have to go back to being one of your first picked to start next year? Assuming he goes around again

Or we can do what Geelong did with Brad Otten.  Just get him fit for finals :)
